This little pup was found by some soldiers in Afghanistan, pretty badly injured.

So the little guy was taken in, healed up and sent to be adopted in the U.S. where he now has been given proper veterinary care.

And also found a family to love.

Valentine is a 10-month old pit bull puppy.

She randomly walked into a cement plant where workers found her with her mouth taped shut, rocks and dirt in her stomach, her one front paw broken and the other front paw hanging on only by a piece of skin.

The workers gathered around to help her as she wagged her tail, even when on the brink of death, she was just so happy to receive some friendly attention.

They believe she was beaten then dragged behind a truck.

Valentine is now at The Bear Valley Animal Hospital in California.

She has received several life saving surgeries, should survive her injuries and is going to be fit with a prosthetic paw for the one that had to be amputated.

But she needs help to pay for all her medical bills.

A man was kayaking in the ocean and filming himself, just incase he caught "the big one."

Out of nowhere he noticed a dog swimming nearby, so he called to it and pulled it up into his kayak.

After rescuing the dog, he found out that it belonged to a woman who was just hit and killed by a car.

The dog was injured and scared and fled the scene, running away until he ran out of land, then continued out into the sea.

The dog has been returned to the family and will hopefully help them in this time of ultimate loss.
