Syed Farook Is Allegedly One Of The Three Gunmen Behind The San Bernardino Massacre

According to officials, one of the three gunmen who attacked the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, CA is Syed Farook.

Along with an unidentified woman, Farook was killed by law enforcement in Redlands, CA when the two tried to drive off in a dark-colored SUV.

A third suspect — a man rumored to be Syed's brother — is currently in police custody.

There are several conflicting reports regarding this man's identity.

While The Daily Beast claims he was a business tax representative for the California State Board of Equalization, the Los Angeles Times is reporting that public records show a man named "Syed Farook" was employed by the San Bernardino County Health department as an environmental health specialist.

Police are currently raiding a residence in the Redlands area that has been linked to Farook's family.

The mass shooting killed 14 and injured at least 18 more.

San Bernardino Police Chief Confirms Two Shooting Suspects Killed & One Officer Injured

San Bernardino Police Chief and FBI assistant director hold a press conference regarding Wednesday's shooting.

Two suspects are dead after a shootout in San Bernardino on Wednesday.

During a press conference, Police Chief Jarrod Burguan revealed that one male and one female believed to be involved with the Inland Regional Center attack have been killed.

The supposed shooters were first tracked down in the nearby city of Redlands, California. Authorities chased them down once they drove off in a dark-colored SUV.

Jarrod explained that the two were armed with assault rifles and handguns, and exchanged fire with police. He also added that an officer was hit in the shootout, but his injuries are not life-threatening.

He mentioned that a third person was spotted running away from the scene, but that individual has been taken in to custody.

However, he's not sure if the person-in-question is actually involved with the San Bernardino tragedy.

DEVELOPING: One Man Down After Apparent Police Shootout In San Bernardino

New development in the San Bernardino shooting.

UPDATE 6:21 P.M. EST: The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office is releasing more information about the scary shootout. The office took to Twitter to explain that there might still be a suspect on the loose after exchanging shots with authorities, writing:

The SB County Sheriff also revealed that an officer had been wounded on the scene, but did not confirm that the official is the man on the ground, saying:

Authorities might be closing in on whoever is responsible for Wednesday's terrible tragedy in San Bernardino, California.

News outlets captured video of a police pursuit in the area near the mass shooting at Inland Regional Center. Now, video has shown that one man is down after what appeared to be a shootout with the cops.

A body was seen on the ground across the street from a dark-colored SUV that had multiple bullet holes in the windshield and back windows blown out.

We're unsure as to whether or not the fallen individual was one of the shooting suspects, but the SB County Sheriff took to Twitter to address the new development, saying:

Dozens of other police cars, SWAT vehicles, and armed officers were seen farther down the street, looking as if they were investigating the surrounding area.

Earlier in the day, a mass shooting at the San Bernardino non-profit center killed at least 14 people, making it the deadliest shooting in the US since the Sandy Hook massacre in 2012.

DEVELOPING: Several Reported Dead In Active Mass Shooting In San Bernardino

UPDATE #3 5:00 P.M. EST: Police Chief Jarrod Burguan has issued a statement saying authorities currently believe there are "upwards of 14 people dead," and another 14 injured.


UPDATE #2 4:48 P.M. EST: President Barack Obama responds to the shootings, saying:
"There are steps we can take to make Americans safer. We should never think this is something that just happens in the normal course of events.


UPDATE #1 4:14 P.M. EST: Federal authorities issue alert for a dark-colored SUV after suspects reportedly flee the scene.


Police have confirmed another mass shooting, this time in San Bernardino, California.

Local network KTTV Fox 11 has reported that anywhere from one to three shooters opened fire late Wednesday morning at Inland Regional Center, a non profit social service that works with persons with developmental disabilities and their families.

The scene is currently still active after the attack first took place at around 11 a.m. PST, but we're hearing that at least 20 people have been shot with multiple reports of at least 12 dead.

Police have the center surrounded with triage stations around the perimeter to provide aid — unfortunately, nearby trauma centers are expecting a high level of patients.

The pair of buildings employ around 670 staff and reach 30,000 individuals with their work.
