Bono's band was scheduled to play in the city on Saturday and Sunday.

UPDATE 9:40 PM EST: U2 has officially canceled their Saturday show. The band issued a statement, saying:

"As a result of the ongoing state of emergency across France, the U2 Paris concert scheduled for 14th November will not be going ahead as planned. U2 and Live Nation, along with HBO who were due to live broadcast the Saturday concert, are fully resolved to go ahead with this show at an appropriate time."

The group continued to give their condolences for all the lives lost during the attacks, adding:

"We watched in disbelief and shock at the unfolding events in Paris and our hearts go out to all the victims and their families across the city tonight. We are devastated at the loss of life at the Eagles of Death Metal concert and our thoughts and prayers are with the band and their fans. And we hope and pray that all of our fans in Paris are safe"

They have not said whether or not HBO will broadcast their Sunday show, or if the concert will even happen at all.

Paris is reeling from multiple terror attacks on Friday.

Various locations in France's capital were targeted, including explosions at the Stade de France stadium during a soccer game, a tragic hostage situation at Le Bataclan concert hall where American band Eagles of Death Metal was playing, as well as several shootings.

Sadly, over 100 people have been killed.

In the wake of the horrible situation, President François Hollande shut the nation's borders and declared a state of emergency.

Reports reveal that on Saturday the city will be closing grocery stories, city hall, and other places where large crowds can gather, in case there are any follow-up incidents.

So, it makes sense that U2's Paris concert for their iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE tour might not happen in light of the horrific events.

A source close to Bono's band told Entertainment Tonight that they "do not see how the show could happen tomorrow."
