Demi Lovato Loves Up Underage Boys On X Factor!

Well, it looks like boyband The Anser wasn’t the only X Factor season one contestant to give it another go in season two!

Arin Ray auditioned again in Providence, Rhode Island, after being thrown into Paula Abdul’s mega-group, InTENsity, last season!

While the cluster of kids ultimately ended up in twelfth place, that clearly wasn’t good enough for Arin, who came back bigger AND better this time around!

Check out the HUGE risk Arin took (above), when he auditioned with an original song!

LOLz at Demi! Gurl… give him two years! Ha!

Good thing Arin decided to try out again — it seems he had WAY more star power which ended up getting lost within the group!

We Called It! Intensity Has Been Voted Off Of X Factor!!!

Filed under: TV NewsKelly ClarksonMusic MinutePerezTVX Factor

No surprises here.

Yesterday, we predicated that Intensity would get voted off of X Factor, and thankfully we were right!

We appreciate the effort they've made, but all you have to do is check out their underwhelming rendition of Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck Without You (above) to see why they were eliminated last night.

What do U think? Did Intensity deserve to get voted off???

QuickFit Tip Of The Day

Pink 1

The FITT Principle is a great way to overcome plateaus and change up your workout routines. FITT stands for Frequency / Intensity / Time / Type. Frequency: how often you exercise. Intensity: how hard you work during exercise. Time: the length of time you exercise. Type: the type of exercise you do. To continue to make progress, change up your routine by modifying two of these factors every 2-4 weeks.

Managing Your Heart Rate While Running

Jennifer Cohen Q & A

To get the best results while working out, managing your heart rate is key. After all, it is not just the AMOUNT of exercise you do that matters, but the INTENSITY at which you do it!

Heart rate monitors are useful technology designed to help you make sure you're exercising at an optimal heart rate somewhere between not too high and not too low.

Amber from El Lay is seeking advice on heart rate monitoring, so she wrote to the woman who knows them best, Fitperez trainer Jennifer Cohen, asking:

Hey Jen,

Thought you could help me as I know you are the spokesperson for Polar Heart Rate Monitors.

I've been working out for the last three years. I'm about 5'11 and weigh around 170. I've noticed that it doesn't take much to get my heart rate up to 160-170 bpm and i can sustain that for an hour but i'm exhausted after the workout. I thought that the fitter you get the lower your rate gets. I haven't noticed it. am I doing something wrong?

According to Jennifer:

If you're running for an hour on the treadmill, take note of your distance covered in that hour, and your average pace. If you run outside, use the heart rate monitor to calculate your distance.

Are you running farther for that hour than you were before? Is your average pace improving? If you're doing the same workout, you'll need to look at all these factors - heart rate, distance and intensity - to gauge just how much you are improving.

Monitor those factors - and your heart rate - for a few weeks and write back!

Try This '20-Second' Workout

Yeah, you guessed it. It's not REALLY 20 seconds, but it's still pretty quick.

A personal trainer has developed a workout based around the idea that people don't have time to workout anymore.

Despite operating under the banner "20-Second Fitness", this workout is actually 4 minutes and consists of 20 second sets with 10 seconds of rest.

The idea is to use all the intensity your body can muster for the entire 4 minutes and cross your finger you make a dent in your body's calorie count.

Check out the video above to see what 20-Second Fitnesss is all about!
