She may have survived The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but will she make it through this?

Apparently Jessica Biel is returning to her horror film roots, as the actress stars in the upcoming fright-fest The Tall Man, which tells the story of a young mother attempting to find her missing child when she uncovers that a local legend about an entity who abducts children may actually be based in truth!

Gah! If we can't even watch THIS without cowering, how on Earth are we going to get through the full movie when it's released?!

Animal Rights Groups Want Animals Dropped From Olympics Opening Ceremony

Several animal rights groups have written the London 2012 organizers to try and persuade the director of the opening ceremony, Danny Boyle, to not use live animals.

The opening ceremony planned to use 100 farm animals in the show, but animal groups warn them they may face severe consequences.

Under the 2006 Animal Welfare Act, it is illegal to intentionally cause undue fear and distress to animals.

There are six groups in total agreement that the experience of being in the show would be "highly stressful and probably terrifying experience for them."

The groups are Animal Aid, Animal Defenders International, Captive Animals Protection Society, Compassion in World Farming, Peta and Viva.

They want Boyle to use puppets and animatronics.

The lead organizers of the Olympics said that they will be working closely with the Royal Society for the Protection of Animals to make sure the animals are "better looked after than the volunteers."

We bet it's too late at this point to just scrap the whole animal part.

Let's hope the show really conforms to all the animal laws or else Danny Boyle might have a whole lotta angry people to deal with.

Mickey Mouse Spotted On Mercury!

Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TrueSilly!Disney

Mickey MOuse on mercury

Mickey Mouse has transcended international fame — he's now a UNIVERSAL superstar!

A collection of craters have been discovered on Mercury that overlap to form a GIANT picture of Disney's most recognizable cartoon character.

The image was taken by NASA's Messenger probe, which will be orbiting the planet until March 2013 as it continues to collect images from the surface of the planet when the sun is near the horizon.

The man on the moon mouse on Mercury has a head that measures roughly 65 miles in diameter with two smaller, but disproportionate ears.

Very cool, don't U think?

Tropical Oasis Discovered On Titan

Titan Oasis

Here at SpacePerez.com FitPerez.com, we're into science.

So if someone tells us that a tropical oasis was discovered on Saturn's moon, Titan — well, we'd be surprised if we didn't get a raging science Titan ourselves!

Here's what a scientist said:

"This discovery was completely unexpected because lakes are not stable at tropical latitudes. Titan may have oases."

How do they know?

They measured reflected sunlight from Titan's surface and atmosphere, duh.

The international Cassini spacecraft was the one who detected a dark region near the landing site of Huygens, a companion probe that parachuted to Titan's equator in 2005.

That dark feature they found suggests the presence of a 927-square-mile hydrocarbon lake - twice as big as Lake Champlain.

Someone call SpaceX, we're ready for vacay!
