State Street Global Advisors, the world's third-largest asset manager and nearly $2.5 trillion investor, installed a bronze statue of a defiant girl in front of the iconic Wall Street bull on Tuesday morning.

The statue was installed to celebrate International Women's Day on Wednesday, and is part of the money manager's campaign to pressure companies to add more women to their boards.
