Birdman Flies Away With The Critics' Choice Award For Best Acting Ensemble

There was some stiff competition, but Birdman flew away with first Critics' Choice Movie Award of the night!

Alejandro González Iñárritu's black comedy won the award for Best Acting Ensemble thanks to the excellent work from Michael Keaton, Zach Galifianakis, Edward Norton, Emma Stone, Naomi Watts, Amy Ryan, and Andrea Riseborough.

While crushing its competition, Birdman beat out the casts from Boyhood, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game, Into the Woods, and Selma.

Birdman was the most nominated film of the entire night, so it's no surprise that it started off with a win.

We wonder if it'll be able to sweep all 13 of its categories!?

Talk about an upset!

Despite being a rather famous director, Wes Anderson just won his first ever Golden Globe on Sunday!

The Grand Budapest Hotel won one of the highest honors of the night by taking the award for Best Motion Picture — Comedy or Musical.

In order to win, the film beat out Birdman by Alejandro González Iñárritu, Into the Woods by Rob Marshall, Pride by Matthew Warchus, and St. Vincent by Theodore Melfi.

Who knows? Maybe this will be a precursor of what's to come at this year's Academy Awards.

Congratulations again to everyone involved!

See? It only takes 12 years to win a Golden Globe Award!

Patricia Arquette took home the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her exceptional — and extended — work in Boyhood!

Her little experiment paid off big time as she beat out Emma Stone from Birdman, Jessica Chastain from A Most Violent Year, Keira Knightley for The Imitation Game, and even award machine Meryl Streep in Into the Woods!

They should start calling it Girlhood!

Way to go, Patricia!
