Wentworth Miller Comes Out As Gay & Snubs Russia's Anti-LGBT Laws, & We Love Him For It!!!

wentworth miller russian smack down anti lgbt laws st petersburg film festival gay

Role model alert!

Wentworth Miller doesn't limit his heroics to our TVs — the Prison Break stud is a hero in REAL LIFE too!

Folks from the St. Petersburg International Film Festival recently extended a personal invitation to Wentworth, hoping he'd attend their prestigious event, but the now openly gay actor wasn't having it.

He made it clear that he has zero intention implicitly condoning Russia's horrendous treatment of its LGBT community!

Wentworth wrote the festival organizers a scathing response, saying he was "deeply troubled" by the country's anti-LGBT laws and that he won't be visiting that part of the globe until they make a few changes!

Not for a million Rubles! Not for a billion Rupees! Not even for a trillion rice cakes!

He revealed:

Mississippi Newspaper Sparks Outrage By Calling County's First Gay Marriage 'Historic'

This kind of reaction is bullshizz!!

There's a newspaper in Mississippi, right? It does what newspapers are supposed to do: it reports the news. This especially includes stories that are historic, whether you like them or not. Even if you slap a negative connotation on the county's first gay marriage, it is historic regardless!

That's something a lot of the paper's readers didn't understand when they lost their shizz and decided to throw a hissy fit over the front page story, claiming it was putting their youth in danger. GIVE US A BREAK.

On Feb. 7, the Laurel Leader-Call published a story with the headline Historic Wedding: Women Wed in Laurel Through Smiles, Tears. The article was about the wedding of Jessica Powell and Crystal Craven, and how they were the first gay couple to get married in the county, and that Crystal has been battling brain cancer. How is that not a heartwarming story, if not heartbreaking, with the news of this brave woman's brain cancer??

Ignoring that fact (and all facts, really), residents in the county were OUTRAGED that the newspaper would run such a story! Awful and mean calls and emails were directed to the newspaper's offices, and subscription cancellations came like a tidal wave. Their Facebook page was on fire with countless hateful comments! WTF!

So the paper's owner stepped in and got everyone nice and quiet before he told them to eat it!

Gay Employees Of Chick-Fil-A Speak Out! They're Caught In The Middle Of A Heated Public Debate

Filed under: Gay Gay GayMedia Minute

And boy do they have some inneresting things to say. Some good, some bad, and some moments they describe are just AWFUL!

First of all, we realize that Chick-fil-A is a ginormous company with THOUSANDS of employees working at over a thousand locations in 39 states. So to be clear, we don't mean to direct any outrage over the company's anti-gay sentiments toward everybody who has ever collected a pay check from there.

That being said, there is still plenty of bigotry floating around franchise locations around the U.S. and now the employees facing the discrimination that the company supports are sharing their stories.

While Mike Huckabee dubbed August 1 as "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day", one gay employee is calling it

Orange County Protestors Line Up Outside New Chic-Fil-A Franchise!

Now THIS is the type of stuff we like to see young people doing!

Youth Empowered to Act (YETA), a group of LGBT leaders between the ages of 14 and 24, protested Chick-fil-A's anti-gay agenda by picketing a new franchise location in Laguna Hills, California on Thursday, July 26.

Demonstrators donned colorful costumes and signs as they surrounded the building during it's grand opening to send the conservative corporation and their customers a message — hating gays is not okay.

Sorry to those who think otherwise, but no one should tolerate intolerance! Once an "opinion" starts affecting the lives of other people, it's no longer respectable. 20-year-old protestor Justin Mccoy agrees and told sources:

Buh-Bye Michigan Assistant Attorney General Douche!

Good riddance, ass! We're surprised it took this long to can you!

Michigan Assistant Attorney General Andrew Shirvell, the loser who has been taking his personal aggressions out on a gay University of Michigan student, is taking a "personal" leave of absence as of yesterday.

In other words, he was told to get the hell out for being a bigot!

Mr. Shirvell stirred a lot of folks up when he started a blog solely for the purpose of attacking University of Michigan student body president Chris Armstrong and his fellow "radical homosexual activists." Apparently, the state official didn't have anything better to do than to sit around and blog about this kid's activities, his friends and his social networking trends. (Um, stalker much?)

On Wednesday night, the douche was on Anderson Cooper and actually tried to defend himself by pleading the First Amendment. He said:

"Here in America, we have this thing called the First Amendment, which allows people to express what they think and engage in political and social speech."

When the "social speech" you talk of is riddled with hatred and bigotry, it should never be tolerated!

Despite the firestorm he created, the Attorney General's office is insisting he left of his own accord and that he was not fired.

Whatever the reason, so long as he is gone, we don't care! Hope we never have to hear from his intolerant face again!

In case you missed it, here's the bigot on CNN earlier this week! (above)
