This Invisible Umbrella Is Made Of Nothing But A Shield Of Air! But Does It Work?? See The Prototype In Action HERE!

no title

OK, so it's already nearly 2015 and we don't yet have the flying cars or self-drying clothes or any of the other cool stuff that Back To The Future II promised.

But we're apparently about to make a huge leap forward in umbrella technology!

Two words: force field.

Through a constant stream of air (kinda like that powerful air blade you find in public restrooms), this new device keeps the rain away without any big wet cloth you have to fold up and put at the door.

Does it work?? Clearly there are enough believers as the new product has already made three times its Kickstarter goal.

But decide for yourself after watching the video demonstration (below)!

U2’s Super Bowl Ad Will Help Make A Difference In The Fight Against HIV/AIDS!

Filed under: Music MinuteInspirationBonoAd CampaignsSuper Bowl

U2 will debut their new single during a Super Bowl commercial

This is a GREAT idea!

It's been announced that U2 will debut their new single Invisible during a Super Bowl ad!

The commercial is sponsored by Bono’s foundation Red, as well as Bank of America who is donating $1 to the Global Fund for each iTunes download within 24 hours.

And that’s not the best news!

This single will be FREE!

The fundraiser has several focuses, but one is ending mother-to-child HIV transmission, and believe it or not, they say this can be done by next year, if they get the monies for it!

New music and you’re helping cure a disease? Count us in!

Bono talked about this “game changing influence,” and their partnership, which you can ch-ch-check out

Scientists Create Real Invisibility Cloak

Calm down Harry Potter fans! You can't wear it.

Scientists have taken cloaking to the next level by redirecting light, using heat monitoring and even going underwater.

The latest success is from Stanford and the University of Pennsylvania who made a device that can detect light without actually being seen.

They got the ratio of metal to silicon just right, like in a silicon nanowire (above), and that led to the light reflected from the two materials completely canceling each other out.

They call it plasmonic cloaking. It's a way of controlling the flow of light to create optical and electronic functions but leave nothing for the eye to see.

The scientists envisioned this technology being used to reduce blur in cameras, used in solar cells, sensors and solid-state lighting.

There's no mention of super soldiers or boy wizard applications, which we find odd. LOLz!
