Pirates Love Avatar!!!

pirates love avatar

Looks like pirates have set their sights on Pandora!

James Cameron's Avatar has been named 2010's most popular illegal download, with over 16 million BitTorrent downloads alone!

Avatar has received 51 percent more BitTorrent downloads than last year's #1 illegal download, Star Trek.

Other films on the unfortunate Top 10 List include Kick-Ass, Inception, Shutter Island, Iron Man 2, Clash of the Titans, Green Zone, Sherlock Holmes, The Hurt Locker, and Salt.

Don't worry too much, James! We're sure plenty of folks will still pick up Avatar on Blu-Ray & DVD to stuff those stockings!

Now, get going on that Avatar 2 script, bb!

Twihard People's Choice Awards Nominations Announced!

twilight-peoples-choice.jpg

And without a single person being surprised, Twilight leads the way with the most nominations this year.

The nominations for this year's People's Choice Awards have just been announced. The Twilight movies and their band of merry vamps lead the number of noms with eight bids. The movie itself got two nominations while the Holy Trinity of Twilight each snagged two noms a piece.

Considering that Twi-Hards probably spent the last month glued to their computers voting up a storm, Rob, Kristen and Taylor better make an appearance or there will be hell to pay!

Rounding out the nods in movies were the teams behind Inception and Iron Man 2, while Grey's Anatomy snagged the most noms in the television category.

On the music end of the awards, Eminem, Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry, Beyonce, P!nk, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga were all double nominees. (Who to chose?!)

Sounds like there could be a lot of excellent people in attendance!

CLICK HERE to check out the rest of the nominees and to vote for your faves.

Who do U want to see win?

(Before you answer that, remember the Twi-Hards have probably already formed daily schedules on how to effectively vote for their vamps a million times a day. Just saying.)

ScarJo Getting Her Own Super Hero Spin-Off?!

scarlett-johansson-as-black.jpg

Do they think they gave her enough characterization in that shiteous movie to warrant her own?

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed that ScarJo's character in Iron Man 2, Black Widow, may be getting her own spin-off film ON TOP of her upcoming appearance in Super Friends The Avengers!

He explains:

"We've already started discussions with Scarlett [Johansson] about the idea of a solo movie and have begun putting together concepts, but The Avengers comes first."

Seems kind of STOOPID to us, but at the end of the day, we could watch ANYTHING with her in it, so it may be worth a shot!

What do U think?? Should Black Widow get her own movie??

Jon Favreau And Marvel On The Outs!

wenn5146501jf.jpg

He's too expensive!

Apparently Jon Favreau, who directed Iron Man, wanted to direct Marvel's upcoming The Avengers, but the studio didn't want to pay for him!

Back when he signed on for Iron Man 2, negotiations were difficult because he was asking for more money. They ended up working out a deal, but now Marvel is going with Joss Whedon for The Avengers because his fee is cheaper.

Supposedly both Favreau and Robert Downey, Jr. were disappointed with Iron Man 2 because Marvel interfered a lot and made the movie a giant infomercial for The Avengers.

Well, we think Joss can handle the responsibility!

What do U think?

Iron Man 2 Opens Big!

iron-man-2-casting-call2343__opt1.jpg

This should make the studio very happy.

Despite the mixed reviews the flick is getting, Iron Man 2 scored big at the box-office on its opening day. The flick took in $52.4 million stateside on Friday, which is nearly a 50% increase from the original Iron Man two years ago.

But that's not all!

The flick now ranks as the 5th highest grossing at the box-office, raking in $133.6 million domestically on its opening weekend.

Good way to start things off!
