Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis Is Returning To Work — But Will She Continue To Refuse Issuing Same-Sex Marriage Licenses?
Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis served six days in prison for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples!
After being released on Tuesday, Davis plans to return to work on Friday or Monday — but her bigoted practices might continue even after spending nearly a week behind bars!
Davis's attorney said that she still does NOT plan to violate her conscience after returning to work!
But even if Davis tries to resume her past behavior, her co-workers won't be having it this time around! Deputy county clerk Brian Mason, who works for Davis, says that even if his boss tells him to stop issuing licenses to same-sex couples, he will disobey her!
Mason revealed that while Davis was jailed, the office issued ten licenses — seven of which went to same-sex couples!
The fact that Davis's subordinates wouldn't obey her illegal and hateful refusal to issue marriage licenses makes us feel a little better that she was released from jail!
Do YOU think Davis will still try to block same-sex marriage licenses?
