If you didn't know, Sunday morning was marked with tragedy when a man opened fire in a nightclub in Orlando, Florida, killing 50 people and injuring 53 more.

Though details from the terrible event continue to come in, it wasn't until Monday morning that the FBI started to release the identities of the victims.

As information has been released, people from around the world have began to recognize names or faces or even just identify with some details from the victims' lives.

One of the confirmed dead was Luis Vielma who author J.K. Rowling quickly discovered worked at the Harry Potter ride at Universal Studios Florida.

The HP creator wasted no time sharing her thoughts on the terrible passing as she took to Twitter to tweet:

Looks like Hedwig will no longer need to break a wing!

Earlier this week, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child started its previews at the Palace Theatre in London, and audiences couldn't get enough of the magical 2-part stage play!

But despite rave reviews, one hiccup during the first-ever performance has already called for the production to remove live owls from the show!

During Tuesday night's debut performance, an owl that was supposed to make a quick flight during a scene failed to return to its handler — and instead escaped into the auditorium!

Since the play is still in its preview stage, producers were quick to scrap the birds. Audiences on Thursday night's show were greeted with a sign that said "no real birds" were used.

The producers explained their decision in an animal-friendly statement:

Hundreds of lucky fans will get to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at London's Palace Theatre this month, but J.K. Rowling has one simple request before they do so!

In a new short video ahead of the previews for the highly anticipated stage play, the author asked theatregoers to not spoil any of the surprises in the story!

Rowling gently asked fans to "keep the secrets" of the eighth HP story so future audiences will still be able to enjoy it, as the script for the play will not be released as a book until July 31.

Seeing as modern day audiences have a tendency to overshare online, we think this PSA is a great friendly reminder to tell fans to STFU!

After all, we assume the revelation of the titular Cursed Child is quite the twist coming from the mind of Miz Rowling herself!

Now that's a family resemblance!

Throughout the week, we've been getting first looks at the main cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child — the upcoming stage play that takes place 19 years after Deathly Hallows.

Pottermore already unveiled the future Potter family and Granger-Weasley clan, but no Hogwarts reunion would be complete without some Slytherins!

On Thursday, the final pair of principal characters was revealed to be the malevolent father-son duo Draco and Scorpius Malfoy!

Just off the tense picture alone, we can tell Draco (played by Alex Price) and Scorpius (Anthony Boyle) have the same uncomfortable relationship as Draco and his father Lucius. Those Malfoys really stick to tradition, huh?

J.K. Rowling commented on the spot-on casting of the Malfoys, noting Scorpius will have the same bad boy effect on the ladies as his father did. She said:

"I love Draco and Scorpius – they actually look related!… I've got a feeling Scorpius is going to do nothing to turn girls off the Malfoy men."

No doubt!

On Tuesday, the first look at Harry, Ginny, and their son Albus was revealed in a very serious family portrait — but thankfully, things are a lot more happy-go-lucky in the Granger-Weasley household!

Pottermore released the first look of a grown up Ron, Hermione, and their daughter on Wednesday!

In the photo, we see Paul Thornley as the still lovable Ron Weasley, Noma Dumezweni as Hermione Granger (girl kept her last name — Emma Watson would be proud!), and Cherrelle Skeete as Rose Granger-Weasley.

As for which of her two parents Rose takes after, J.K. Rowling said:

Not much is known about J.K. Rowling's stage play, other than that it follows a grown-up Harry as a father of three working at the Ministry of Magic.

But now, we finally get to see the first look of the middle-aged titular character and his family!
