Twitter Rolls Out New Features To Beat The Bullies!

Jack Dorsey

Can they block Donald Trump while they're at it? LOLz!

Twitter introduced a series of new safety features on Tuesday as an effort to curb harassment by keeping bullies and trolls off the site.

According to the company's blog, the social network will work to prevent online abuse by making sure people who have already been banned (sorry, Azealia Banks) from creating new accounts, and will keep sensitive content from clogging up your feed.

Twitter's new features include:

"Stopping the creation of new abusive accounts, bringing forward safer search results, and collapsing potentially abusive or low-quality Tweets."

The new "safe search" application will remove tweets that have sensitive content from blocked and muted accounts from your search results.

While you can find the annoying tweets if you want to, your search results won't be so cluttered with nonsense now.

Lastly, the micro-blogging site will work to hide

Can Martin Shkreli start working on a cure for Martin Shkreli?

The Big Pharma executive has already proven he's a capitalistic douche bag, an award-winning troll, and a certifiable perv.

But now, his talents have seemingly reached new heights — Shkreli's Twitter account was suspended for literally being too creepy.

On Sunday, the social media site temporarily suspended the executive's account shortly after he updated his profile with a serial killer-esque photo collage of Teen Vogue editor Lauren Duca.

Twitter confirmed that Shkreli's account was shut down as a result of his harassing Duca — but unfortunately, a troll can never be destroyed for good on the internet.

The former pharmaceutical executive can appeal his suspension and have his account reactivated as long as he makes changes, like deleting the Photoshopped image of himself and Duca

Conservative Writer Milo Yiannopoulos Banned From Twitter After Encouraging His Followers To Attack Leslie Jones On Social Media

Milo Yiannopoulos

Twitter is officially amping up security on harassment.

On Tuesday, the social media site permanently banned conservative writer and self-proclaimed "fabulous supervillain on the internet" Milo Yiannopoulos — in addition to other user accounts — for his role in the horrific online bullying of Leslie Jones.

In case you're not familiar, Milo was known by the handle @Nero and is the technology editor for Breitbart.com. He had over 338,000 followers before his account was deleted for seemingly racist and degrading tweets.

Just a side note, this is the guy who says "feminism is cancer" and "Rape Culture and Harry Potter: Both Fantasy." Sigh.

Anyway, as we reported, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey tweeted directly to Leslie on Monday in an effort put a stop to the racist harassment she was receiving — abuse that was being encouraged on Yiannopoulos' timeline.
