Christian Borle Takes Home The Tony For Best Performance By An Actor In A Featured Role In A Play!

Our beloved Andrew Garfield unfortunately didn't get the Tony Awards win for Best Performance By An Actor In A Featured Role In A Play, but instead, it was a recipient who was just as worthy!

That's right, SMASH's Christian Borle took home the win for his work in Peter and the Starcatcher, beating out Michael Cumpsty, Tom Edden, and Jeremy Shamos!

Aww! Such a sweetheart!

Easily one of the nicest speeches of the evening, and so cute to see his mom and sister looking on from audience, clearly so very proud!

The Hollywood Reporter Celebrates Tinseltown's Legends

hollywood-reporter-80th-anniversary-issue-hollywood-legends-2010-1.jpg hollywood-reporter-80th-anniversary-issue-hollywood-legends-2010-2.jpg hollywood-reporter-80th-anniversary-issue-hollywood-legends-2010-3.jpg

To celebrate their 80th anniversary, the Hollywood Reporter has put some of the biggest names in showbiz on three separate covers.

On the first cover sits Halle Berry and Sidney Poitier, the first African American male and female to win an Oscar.

The other two were separated into east coast and west coast actors.

Representing Los Angeles is Ed Asner, Betty White, Larry Hagman, Eva Marie Saint, Mickey Rooney and Debbie Reynolds.

The New York crew features Anne Meara, Jerry Stiller, James Earl Jones, Gena Rowlands and Angela Lansbury.

We love this concept, especially since all but 4 of them are over the age of 80.

The Original Voice Of Darth Vader!

This is soo strange!

As most know, James Earl Jones provided the voice for the now iconic villain Darth Vader in the Star Wars films, but apparently, while filming the original movie, the man who wore the suit on set, David Prowse, recited all of the dialogue himself!

Check out (above) a clip of what Star Wars would have been like if they had used the original audio track!

Darth Vader would have been so refined and mild-mannered if they had kept it like this!

Darth Drives Miss Daisy Around Midtown

This fall, Tony Award-winners and Broadway vets James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave are heading back to the Great White Way!

The pair will co-star in the Broadway premiere of Driving Miss Daisy at the John Golden Theatre. The story of an elderly widow whose son hires her an African-American man to serve as her chauffeur is best known for it's award-winning film version, but with such massive talent in the stage production, we wager we have next year's Tony winner for best play!

Denzel Opens On Broadway To Mixed Reviews

Denzel Washington's long awaited return to the Great White Way is not turning out the way he had hoped.

His play Fences opened yesterday to very mixed reviews, with his performance getting the most ridicule. Some critics are calling Denzel's performance "commanding" while others maintain that he portrays a rather "hollow" version of his character next to his predecessor, James Earl Jones.

Not really the kind of thing you want to hear on your first night out of the gate. Also not the kind of thing you want to hear when you have already shelled out $325 for a ticket!

Hopefully, Denzel can pull it together and turn this thing around.
