Selma Blair Says James Toback Threatened To 'Gouge' Her Eyes Out 'With A Bic Pen' After Sexual Assault In Revealing Interview

no title

Many men have been accused of sexual misconduct over the past few months, but perhaps none with more volume than James Toback.

To date, well over 300 women have come forward with stories of sexual harassment or assault against the Black And White director.

One of the grossest was a casting couch story in which Selma Blair says Toback convinced her to partially disrobe during an audition then held her head and forced her to watch as he humped her leg until he finished.

Ugh. We knew he threatened her, but on Monday's The Talk, she gives more details about just how scary that was, saying:

"I had literally been afraid for 17 years of James Toback who threatened to murder me and, you know, put cement shoes on and gouge my eyes out with a Bic pen if I ever told anybody."

Horrifying. See the entire interview (below):

James Toback & Harvey Weinstein Face Possible Criminal Charges From Los Angeles District Attorney — Will There Be Enough Evidence??

James Toback and Harvey Weinstein

This could be huge.

Following the #MeToo movement of women to come forward with sexual assault allegations, we've been waiting for some actual (legal) justice to be served to the men who have been abusing their power in disgusting ways for decades.

Now this power lies with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office as prosecutors decide whether to press charges against the likes of James Toback (pictured left) and Harvey Weinstein (pictured right).

For the Bugsy screenwriter, there are five cases (out of many) — two cases from the Los Angeles Police Department and three submitted by Beverly Hills police — that are being reviewed by a task force established to handle any criminal complaints arising from the Hollywood scandal.

For Weinstein, two cases resulting from BHPD investigations have been handed over to the D.A. to see if there's enough evidence to press charges against the disgraced producer. Which women's stories are being pursued has not been released.

No previous criminal investigations have gotten this far — so we're hoping something can be done legally to punish these abusers. We'll keep you updated.

ronan farrow talks me too movement casualties

Innocent people could become casualties of false sexual assault allegations amid the #MeToo movement.

Ronan Farrow admitted this on Wednesday while speaking at a lunch for the Silurian Society at the National Arts Club in NYC. Specifically, the celebrated journalist warned that the viral movement may risk the "pendulum swinging too far" in a moment of "white hot anguish."

VOTE: Who Should Replace Matt Lauer On Today??

The up-and-comer touched on this issue after he was asked to address Leonard Lopate's recent suspension from WNYC. (In case you didn't know, although there is currently an ongoing investigation, Lopate has defended that the only inappropriate thing he has done during his 30-year career is say the word "testicle" in front of a colleague.)

time person of the year

We are SO about this decision.

On Wednesday, it was confirmed that The Silence Breakers (many involved with the anti-harassment #MeToo movement) have been named Time magazine's Person of the Year. This decision comes amid the MANY sexual misconduct scandals that have plagued both the entertainment industry and politics.

In case you missed it, following the explosive exposés about sexual predator Harvey Weinstein, Alyssa Milano rallied thousands to open up about their experiences with harassment and/or assault in order to prove that the filmmaker's abuse wasn't an uncommon thing in society. Using the hashtag #MeToo, numerous people came forward to out heavyweights near and far for their sexual misconduct — including Kevin Spacey, James Toback, Brett Ratner, etc.

Ironically, the announcement was made on NBC's Today, where longtime host Matt Lauer was recently ousted for his "inappropriate sexual behavior" with a colleague. Be sure to watch the announcement (below)!

Watch This Uma Thurman Clip And You'll Understand How Seriously Women In Hollywood Are Taking All These Sexual Assault Scandals

no title

As we continue to report the onslaught of sexual assault and sexual harassment news every single day, and you continue to read the dozens — now hundreds — of stories that keep popping up (Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, James Toback, Steven Seagal, and on, and on, and on), it's easy to get numb to it.

All the accusations, and all the horrible behavior when told in such tightly packed days one after the next almost lessens the seriousness of it all in a way, as if you can package it all up in one little corner of the world and tell yourself, "there are some shitty men in Hollywood."

And while that's true, and there are some profoundly shitty men in Hollywood, that is far from reaching the true magnitude of these stories as they continue to come out.

So maybe this will help.

At an event for her new work The Parisian Woman this weekend, Uma Thurman was asked by reporters about her take on all the sexual harassment and sexual assault scandals that have popped up the last few weeks.

And what she gives, instead of a sound bite, is a quick look into just how profoundly angry women in this industry are about the shameful and shitty ways they've been treated for decades now.
