Justin Bieber visited the Yasukuni Shrine while in Tokyo recently, and posted the above photo on Instagram.
Now, a lot of Chinese and South Korean fans are understandably mad because the shrine commemorates 2.5 million Japanese soldiers…including convicted war criminals!
Oh, hello face! Meet palm!
After sparking an uproar, Bizzle posted this apology:
"While in Japan I asked my driver to pull over for which I saw a beautiful shrine. I was mislead to think the Shrines were only a place of prayer. To anyone I have offended I am extremely sorry. I love you China and I love you Japan"
While we're pretty sure he did go to the site in ignorance of its potential to offend, he should definitely hire a world history scholar wherever he goes just to stop him from doing something like this again.
