Poor poor baby Zayn!

We couldn't help but chuckle a few giggles at One Direction's… shall we say interesting press conference last week.

But when edgy Zayn Malik had to burst off stage about 20 minutes in, it was nooo laughing matter. Especially for him!

We knew he wasn't feeling well but now we know the deets — apparently boo boo got a case of a the tummy icks, as one source says:

"He had been rubbing his tummy throughout proceedings, then suddenly, he took a deep breath and dashed off stage because he felt so unwell. The others were all looking around concerned for a while, then Niall checked with management to see if he was okay. They moved up to take his seat away so it didn't look too weird, while Zayn went back to his hotel to recover."

AWWW.

That's no fun at all. But we wonder what could have caused it??

OH! WAIT!

Here's a thought! Other sources revealed their nocturnal activities the night before, saying:

"The boys had a bit of a late one on their first night. It's their first time in Japan and they were excited to be somewhere new. They made the most of the local drinks to get over their jet lag but were suffering during the press conference."

Yep…

Karaoke will do that to ya! Ha!

Sigh. Well whatever the case may be, we're glad the newly made-over Zayn got the rest he needed. Cuz we've all been there… and it ain't pretty, that's for sure!

Blame it on the lack of sleep or the language barrier — the boys of One Direction were looking ALL kinds of confused earlier today in Japan!

In what could only be described as awkwardly adorable, 1D had a press conference in Tokyo, to promote their album Take Me Home!

Between Harry saying ‘arigato’ and Liam holding that huge bouquet of flowers, to Zayn getting sick in the middle of it all, while Louis and Niall look lost… we just can’t! LOLz!

Though, one thing we REALLY wanted to know by the time it finished: which version of As Long As You Love Me were they talking about, Justin Bieber’s or the Backstreet Boys'???

We would've been fine with just a vid of their karaoke sesh! Ha! Maybe it'll make the cut for their 3D flick!!

One Direction has been flying ALL over the world lately!

The Brit boys were recently in Ghana over the weekend and just arrived in Tokyo, Japan on Thursday, to continue their Take Me Home promo tour!

Harry, Niall, Zayn, Louis and Liam donned some red kimonos and stopped to sign some autographs for their Directioners at the airport!

The guys will also be putting on two shows on the 18th and 19th in the country, which'll be filmed for their 3D flick, set to premiere on August 30th!
