She was the latest addition to Japanese girl group, AKB48.
The pop group has millions of superfans, who vote each year on which of the group's 61 members is the most popular, with the winner announced in an internationally televised awards ceremony.
But fans were totally confused Aimi Eguchi (the new unpopular girl, gross) appeared in a candy commercial right after joining the group.
That's when fans started to suggest something extraordinary: What if Eguchi didn't exist at all?
Well, it turns out they were right - Eguchi is NOT a person. She's a digital composite combining the physical characteristics of six other members' faces. Yeah… THAT'S INSANE.
This "girl" had fans and everything. We are super creeped out.

Ouch! He really isn't taking this split too well, is he?!
Pete Wentz recently made an appearance last night at the launch of MTV Australia's Japan Jam in Tokyo, and as you can see (above) not only has he misplaced his flat iron, but he also seems to be missing his wedding ring!
Wow. We still can't believe that these two are calling it quits.
We're sure you probably want to keep yourself busy to avoid having to deal with the reality of the situation, bb, but make sure that you're still taking care of yourself, too!
