San Bernardino Police Chief and FBI assistant director hold a press conference regarding Wednesday's shooting.

Two suspects are dead after a shootout in San Bernardino on Wednesday.

During a press conference, Police Chief Jarrod Burguan revealed that one male and one female believed to be involved with the Inland Regional Center attack have been killed.

The supposed shooters were first tracked down in the nearby city of Redlands, California. Authorities chased them down once they drove off in a dark-colored SUV.

Jarrod explained that the two were armed with assault rifles and handguns, and exchanged fire with police. He also added that an officer was hit in the shootout, but his injuries are not life-threatening.

He mentioned that a third person was spotted running away from the scene, but that individual has been taken in to custody.

However, he's not sure if the person-in-question is actually involved with the San Bernardino tragedy.

Police have confirmed another mass shooting, this time in San Bernardino, California.

Local network KTTV Fox 11 has reported that anywhere from one to three shooters opened fire late Wednesday morning at Inland Regional Center, a non profit social service that works with persons with developmental disabilities and their families.

The scene is currently still active after the attack first took place at around 11 a.m. PST, but we're hearing that at least 20 people have been shot with multiple reports of at least 12 dead.

Police have the center surrounded with triage stations around the perimeter to provide aid — unfortunately, nearby trauma centers are expecting a high level of patients.

The pair of buildings employ around 670 staff and reach 30,000 individuals with their work.

We will continue to update you as this story develops.
