Now that Jason Collins is the first out and proud gay NBA player, people can't get enough of his personal revelation!
He knew that this would come with the territory, but we're wondering how he plans to keep ANYTHING about his private life private now!
Oprah wanted to know the same exact thing, so she asked him! Check out the clip (above) from her huge interview with the courageous athlete!
He's such role model for the athletes in the LGBT community!

The more we hear about Jason Collins' coming out as a gay professional NBA player, the more we're surprised to hear how good he was at keeping it a secret! EVERYONE he told was shocked!
His parents were among those floored by his revelation, and it took them a few moments to wrap their brains around it before they outwardly offered their support. And by moments, we really do mean that — it wasn't as if it took them a month to come to grips. In fact, it was on their way home from getting the news, according to his mom:

Kobe Bryant was one of the first people to tweet out support and respect for Jason Collins' decision to reveal himself as a gay NBA player!
Continuing that support, Kobe has expanded his words and admiration for such courage, and has spoken at An Unforgettable Evening benefiting EIF's Women's Cancer Research Fund, saying that he believes Jason has paved the way for other gay athletes to be open about their sexuality!
Here's what he said:

Are you KIDDING us, Asante Samuel??
You seriously think that straight people don't flaunt their sexuality constantly (have you ever seen television, a music video, or heard college students talk??), and that just by coming out (which a lot of the time means having had to hide) is FLAUNTING being gay?? We can't even believe you said something like this!
The Atlanta Falcons cornerback told FOX Sports Radio that he doesn't understand why gays have to 'flaunt' their sexuality after being asked about Jason Collins' major reveal.
Here's what he said (and more, above):

Jason Collins recently came out as an openly gay man, and while he was already interviewed by ABC's George Stephanopoulos, a segment on Oprah Winfrey's Oprah's Next Chapter is getting ready to debut!
In the interview, the NBA player, his twin brother and his parents sit down with the legendary host in the clip (above), and because it's just a preview, we're getting anxious to see the whole conversation.
It's sad to think that Collins has already received death threats for coming out, but we're sure Oprah will touch on that subject, and hopefully make things better!!
The complete interview airs Sunday, May 5 at 7:30/6:30c., but for now, ch-ch-check out the video (above)!!

Not once has the Westboro Baptist Church ever gained any ground for their hateful cause by picketing events. In fact, they should take a hard look at how it has the opposite effect for them: everyone thinks they're hateful and crazy, and nobody wants to be a part of that shizz — it brings their "enemies" closer together! LOLz!
Well, it looks like they're planning another failure for themselves, as they've just announced on Twitter that they're going to protest the fifth game of the OKC Thunder and Houston Rocket's playoff match up. You know, because Jason Collins doesn't want to hide who he is anymore!
Here's what they Tweeted:

It's almost worse to try and backtrack on things you obviously believe, because it's easily apparent that you're only doing it because of the flak you've gotten. It's kind of offensive to assume we wouldn't notice exactly what you're doing!
Chris Broussard is doing exactly all that as he called into the radio show The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1 to explain his comments about Jason Collins being gay and to backtrack a little bit! While he still rattles off everything he's read in the Bible (at length), he's also trying to make it clear that he loves everyone and doesn't look down on a single person, even if it might seem like it.
It's worth a listen (above) as he tries to explain himself, and to hear the host liken the whole situation to a white guy saying he 'isn't racist' because he has black friends!
We can't really get into religion here, because everyone is entitled to their beliefs. We CAN get into going into a religious tirade on ESPN when they aren't asking for your personal religious opinions! This interview is different because he's asked specifically about his personal beliefs — we just wish when he was being paid to talk about sports, he would talk about sports!
Easy enough! LOLz!
