Bad news for Rocawear staff members.

Jay Z’s company has laid off half of their employees!

The rap mogul actually sold his company back in 2007 to Iconix Brand Group but he stayed on as a shareholder.

He’s also responsible for product development as well as marketing and licensing.

Unfortunately, the company blames the bad global economy for the loss of all those jobs.

They had to let go of 28 of their 56 employees.

We've just learned that Jay-Z has signed on to star in Hub TV network's upcoming cartoon series called Secret Millionaires Club (after the jump), in which he'll "offer financial advice to a group of young children."

Warren Buffett will also be featured on the animated series, as a business adviser.

Interesting concept! We'll be curious to see how many kid millionaires we'll have by the end of the first season! Ha!

Not only is Jay-Z part owner of the New Jersey Nets basketball team, but now he can add fashion designer for the NBA to his resume.

The rapper will be designing the player’s new uniforms!

Jay-Z will be teaming up with Adidas to create the new outfits with new logos and team colors.

In case you didn’t know, the team will be moving to a new stadium from Newark to Brooklyn and will now be called the Brooklyn Nets.

Jay-Z is even putting together a series of concerts at the Nets’ new stadium after they move.

Talk about being a busy guy!

Let's hope the uniforms look good though.
