What took so long?

Suri Cruise may only be 7 years old, but it feels like she's been a force in the fashion game for quite some time now.

She's already been voted the most stylish child, so, really, it was just a matter of time before she got a clothing line to call her very own.

No really, the line's actually going to be called Suri.

Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham aren't going to have a catwalk cat fight after all.

According to the official New York Fashion Week schedule, Holmes & Yang will hit the Lincoln Center runway at 9:30am on September 12th, a whole three days AFTER Victoria holds her show.

Now that that's out of the way, it's only a matter of time until someone draws comparisons between their shows.

It'll happen, just wait.

Katie Holmes is rackin' up those magazine covers!

After covering InStyle and Spanish Vogue, Mrs. Cruise is currently on the front of Elle Russia's September issue.

For her spread, Katie was styled by her longtime stylist Jeanne Yang in mostly looks from MaxMara, which isn't very surprising since the label named her the "Face of the Future".

Katie Holmes has revealed that she would love to see Adele, Alicia Keys, and even Kate Middleton wear some of the clothes from her new Holmes & Yang collection, which she created with Heather McQuarrie and Jeanne Yang!

She explains:

"We love Adele. Alicia Keys. There are women, from rock stars to heads of state, who we'd love to dress - but I love hearing moms, teachers, anyone love our clothes. But, here in England, we love Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge. I'd love to dress her. We love Ingrid Bergman, Katherine Hepburn, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly. So we went back and said, 'What was it about those pieces that made them memorable?' 'Was it the highlighted slim waist, or the shape of the skirt?' And when you go back you realize you were looking at the woman, not the clothes."

Even with that kind of inspiration, that's a pretty ambitious potential clientele list!

Here's hoping she has the designs to back it up!

So far, there's been very little that has REALLY impressed us, and she's been at this for almost two years!

Sometimes we forget Katie Holmes has her own clothing line with stylist Jeanne Yang and we're guessing retailers do too because they're really pushing it now.

On Tuesday, Mrs. Cruise held the first of many Holmes & Yang trunk shows at Barneys, who extended their contract an extra 8 months in August because it was selling so well.

Maybe it's just us, but Katie doesn't exactly seem committed to her line.

We never see her wearing her "designs" let alone on some other celebrity.
