This just in: Newsroom premiere did pretty damn good!

2.7 million total viewers took advantage of their HBO subscription, to see Jeff Daniels in his new role Sunday night.

That's waaaaay better than the Girls first season premiere, which only ranged up 1.1 hipsters.

The new news show even out-performed True Blood's series premiere — which picked up 1.4 million fangers for the pilot airing.

Of course… that's not the case anymore. The new episode of True Blood, that came on right before the new Aaron Sorkin show debut, sunk their fangs into 4.7 million viewers.

But in all reality, no one expected a show about a cable news network beating a seXXXy show about vampires anyway! LOL!

Welp, there goes all our hopes and dreams!!

Jim Carrey crushed our hearts by dropping out of the HIGHLY anticipated Dumb and Dumber To, yesterday.

Because denial is the first step — we thought "this couldn't be the end of it. Jeff Daniels will talk some sense into Jim!"

We were wrong.

Is Aaron Sorkin's Newsroom about to join Grey's Anatomy, Scrubs and How I Met Your Mother in the land of musical theater television?

The show just premiered on HBO last Sunday, but the creator has already added musical performance into the mix. John Gallagher, Jr., a Broadway actor who plays Jim Harper on the show, explained to sources:

"Aaron found out that Jeff is also a singer/songwriter and he puts out his own records and then he found out that I play guitar and sing. So, one day, he said, 'Oh, there's going to be an episode when you and Jeff are jamming.' I thought he was kidding, but two weeks later I found out that he wasn't kidding and that he had worked it into the script."

Okay, so we it won't be like anything we've seen on Glee, but it will be cool to see Jeff Daniels jam with his co-star.

Maybe they'll cover a Madonna song! LOL!

Nah, we're only kidding. We're sure Daniels' taste lies closer to Johnny Cash or something.

We have no idea what they'll be rocking out to in the upcoming episode. Assuming it's a rendition of a song we've all heard before, what would U like to hear them sing?
