Mariah Carey's lips are sealed — at least when she's about to perform!

We're super excited for the pop star's upcoming reality show Mariah's World because we're already learning some inneresting facts about how Mimi lives her everyday life on tour!

According to reports, Mariah refuses to say a single word the day before a show because she needs to preserve her voice. Naturally!

Jeff Olde — who oversees production of the E! docuseries — told The New York Times:

"She cannot speak the day before a performance. She knows exactly what she wants but she has to communicate through writing or sign language, and it's a sort of a joke within her group, because she has to preserve her voice."

While this certainly sounds like a huge diva move, Mimi is far from the only celeb with outlandish requirements when she performs a show.

Jennifer Lopez, Kanye West, and even Beyoncé have all been called for their diva demands — find out what they are (below)!

queen latifah teams up with vh1 for new tv series single ladies

Looks like VH1 is teaming up with the Queen!

The network has picked up Queen Latifah's movie and eight episode dramedy Single Ladies.

The show stars Stacey Dash from Clueless, and it's being billed as a "relationship, comedic drama set in the world of Atlanta fashion, music, and celebrity."

Here's more from the press release:

"Single Ladies" is a comedic drama about Val, Keisha, and April - three best friends with different philosophies on sex and relationships. Val (Stacey Dash) is an ambitious aspiring fashion mogul who wants to find a true partner. Keisha (LisaRaye McCoy), on the other hand, is a former video dancer just looking for a rich man to keep her in style. April (Charity Shea,) has supposedly found the perfect man and the perfect marriage - but is learning that marriage isn't necessarily a happy ending. "Single Ladies" is a modern, sexy series set in the world of Atlanta fashion, music, and celebrity that will constantly explore which woman has the right approach to relationships.

The show will be written by The Wanda Sykes Show writer Stacey Littlejohn, and it's being directed by Tamra Davis, of Grey's Anatomy and Ugly Betty fame.

Here's more on the project from VH1's EVP of Original Programming and Production, Jeff Olde:

"This movie and now the series is the perfect way for VH1 to jump into the scripted arena. It taps directly into relationship issues and life questions that we know our audience loves, and it does it via a gorgeous, funny, diverse and talented cast of strong female characters. Their complex lives and loves play out against a super hip Atlanta backdrop which is sure to be a character in the movie. Once we saw an early cut of the movie we knew right away we needed to make this a series."

Here's a statement by Queen Latifah from a press release:

"My partner Shakim and I are excited to collaborate with VH1, as they have a similar vision on how to bring this show to life. I think Single Ladies will really fill a hole in what is needed on television today."

Sounds like this def has potential to become a hit.

Will U tune in for Single Ladies on VH1?
