Kate McKinnon Spoofs Jeff Sessions' Dopey Testimony On Seth Meyers — While Late Night Hosts (& 'FLOTUS') Also Get In On The Fun! Watch!

With his pint-sized aggression and southern sass, Jeff Sessions is basically a living Saturday Night Live character.

So, it was perfect timing that the day of the Attorney General's testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee, the actress who plays him happened to be on Late Night!

Kate McKinnon stopped by the NBC late night show on Tuesday to promote her new film Rough Night — and since SNL is currently on summer break, she broke out her southern, Grinch-like snarl and blessed us with a special reenactment of Sessions' testimony!

This mini-Weekend Update style bit came after Seth Meyers already broke down the AG's hearing earlier in his "A Closer Look" segment, noting Sessions provided nothing but denials and scurrilous innuendos.

Over at CBS, Stephen Colbert also roasted Sessions' frustratingly uninformative testimony, where the only thing he made clear was that he apparently had amnesia for the entire duration of Donald Trump's campaign!

Twitter Reacts To Attorney General Jeff Sessions' Sweaty AF Testimony About The Russia Investigation!

no title

Being under oath before the Senate Intelligence Committee really shows your true colors.

While James Comey came across forthright and fatherly in last week's testimony, Tuesday's courtroom drama made Jeff Sessions seem super salty!

Twitter was living for the Attorney General's contentious hearing, where Democrats pressed him on conversations with Donald Trump about the investigation into Russia meddling in the election.

Not only did Sessions call any suggestion that he colluded with Russians during the election an "appalling lie," he said he would not discuss any direct conversations with the President, per his duty "to protect confidential communications with the president."

Sessions made it clear that he was "not stonewalling" after Democratic senators accused him of not fully answering their questions — though Twitics couldn't help but point out the Attorney General continued to evde (AKA, "I don't recall that") most of the questions thrown at him.

The Alabama native was visibly on edge throughout the hearing, particularly when being questioned by Senator Kamala Harris, who he admitted made him "nervous" while rambling about never having met with Russian ambassadors at the Republican National Convention.

Or… maybe he did? There were a lot of people there, OK?

Late Night Hosts Go IN On Donald Trump Firing James Comey AKA The Man Who Made Him President!

no title

Be careful what you joke about, because it might just come true!

After months of joking that Donald Trump was a dictator in reality star clothing, the President went and pulled an actual dictator move by firing the FBI director who was investigating his ties to Russia.

Stephen Colbert, Trevor Noah, and James Corden had a lot to say about Trump going all Celebrity Apprentice on James Comey and firing him per the "recommendation" of Attorney General Jeff Sessions – and Jimmy Kimmel was so pissed, he made T-shirts.

Related: Comey Learned Trump Fired Him Through A TV Report

The late night hosts skewered POTUS for his tyrannical, ratings-based decision in removing Comey, which he said was due to the former director royally screwing up the investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails. (You know, the investigation that coined Trump's campaign war cry "lock her up!" and essentially handed him the election.)

Trump's opponents weren't that surprised he plucked off the man who was in charge of his investigation — Noah even noted that blaming it on protecting Hillary was "the most gangsta excuse!" — but one thing was made clear: this crazy train is going off the rails.

Ch-ch-check out the clips (below) to see what the late night crusaders had to say!

Justice Department Will NOT Be Filing Charges Against Officers Who Fatally Shot Alton Sterling

no title

Justice won't be served in the shooting death of Alton Sterling.

It's been reported that the Justice Department will NOT file charges against the officers involved in the death of the Baton Rouge man, whose videotaped shooting by police last summer sparked mass outrage.

According to sources familiar with the investigation, prosecutors have concluded there isn't enough evidence to bring civil rights charges in the 37-year-old's death.

This will mark the first case under Attorney General Jeff Sessions that the department has publicly declined to prosecute officers investigated for a possible wrongdoing in a high-profile case.

Of course, the department looks a lot different than it did at the time of Sterling's death — which prompted days-long protests that lead to over 150 arrests. Then, Barack Obama spoke out on the controversial shooting with a vote of confidence in the Justice Department's investigation.

But things are certainly different now, and Baton Rouge has been hearing rumors that the department would not bring charges since last week. As of Tuesday, Sterling's family had not received word of any decision.

A spokesperson for the family's attorneys said in a statement:
