Well, folks! We knew we couldn't get them all back!

One of our favorite aspects of American Horror Story is creator Ryan Murphy's penchant for recycling some of the actors from each season of the anthology series, which has resulted in Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe and Frances Conroy being able to portray entirely new roles every year while allowing new castmembers to join in on the frightfest as needed!

However, while we've been delighted with the news that season one alum Taissa Farmiga, who skipped Asylum, will be back for the apparently-much-lighter, modern story being told in season three, we're pretty bummed to learn that

We've kept our fingers crossed for the past month, and now, we know that it's paid off in the BEST way, folks!

Because on the third season of American Horror Story, season one regular Taissa Farmiga is BACK!

Although the young actress has been in discussions with series creator Ryan Murphy since before production of the second season - of which she was not a part - wrapped, whatever contract negotiations that needed to be finalized have been signed off on, and she's now officially on board to re-join Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe and her former homicidal love-interest, Evan Peters, for another round of shrieks!

Incredible, delightful news!

This show just wouldn't be the same without her!

We think it's more than fair to assert that despite the presence of such supreme talent like Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, and Zachary Quinto, it's Lily Rabe who has consistently stolen the show from her co-stars and chewed through pretty much every scene she's appeared in on both seasons of American Horror Story so far — ESPECIALLY kicking it into high gear as the wicked, possessed Sister Mary Eunice during Asylum!

So imagine our excitement to find out that she'll be joining the previously announced Lange, Paulson, Evan Peters, and Taissa Famiga for the still-veiled-in-secrecy THIRD season of the horror anthology!

This one was a really touch call!! Totes a lot of drama in the drama category!

But in the end, it was Claire Danes who walked away with the honor of being recognized by her peers! She just won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her work on Homeland at the SAG Awards.

Aww! The poor girl was probably just in shock! We know we wouldn't have expected to beat out Michelle Dockery, Jessica Lange, Julianna Margulies, and Maggie Smith!

We don't think ANYONE could really expect that anyone on American Horror Story: Asylum, would be walking out of Briarcliff into a world of sunshine and rainbows, given how consistently dark and dismal the tone of the Ryan Murphy-created anthology series was this year!

But in next week's FINAL installment, it's not just one person left standing by the last frame, as we already reported…FOUR main characters will be going down!

Actually, hold on! Let us re-phrase that, seeing as we've already bid farewell to [SPOILERS!]

Thank whomever for Ryan Murphy!!!

The American Horror Story co-creator shed some light on what the next season will be like.

Murphy has verified that the storyline in season 3 will be a romance set in modern times.

He also confirmed that that Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters will join star Jessica Lange on the next cycle.

All three have appeared in both installments of the crazy good show!!!

This makes us so much LESS sad that this installment is ending so soon.

Now we're just super excited for next year!!!

It's been one shocking, frequently unexpected and sometimes-nauseating ride, but next week, the second season finale of American Horror Story: Asylum will FINALLY be upon us…and one thing is for certain: it's going to be WILD!

Ryan Murphy and the gang have been kicking the crazy into OVERDRIVE all season long, and while many character arcs and storylines have taken surprising turns and resolved themselves earlier than we would have anticipated, we still have quite a few questions that need answering, and the series creator recently opened up about what to expect for those left alive in our last trip to Briarcliff next week, titled "Madness Ends!"
