You are NOT impressing us lately, Netflix!

Last month, the National Association of the Deaf filed a lawsuit against the company for not providing closed captioning for most of their streaming movies.

We were thinking it was bullshiz that the hearing impaired couldn't enjoy the same features as everyone else, and now Netflix is pulling some more bullshiz by raising prices!

The company announced that they'll be raising the price for unlimited streaming/one-out-at-a-time unlimited DVD rentals by 60%! It'll go from $9.99 to $15.98 per month! WTF?!?!?

They'll now be offering plans for unlimited streaming only OR unlimited one-out-at-a-time DVDS only for $7.99/month each, but given the fact that people were previously able to get both for only $2 more, that seems really lame.

Here's what a Netflix exec had to say about the new price options:

"By offering our lowest prices ever, we hope to provide great value to our current and future DVDs by mail members."

And here's what Netflix's VP of Marketing Jessie Becker had to say about it:

"Creating an unlimited DVDs by mail plan (no streaming) at our lowest price ever, $7.99, does make sense and will ensure a long life for our DVDs by mail offering."

It's seriously uncool that they're trying to make it seem like this is a GOOD thing for subscribers. The streaming option is one of the best aspects of Netflix service, and we're thinking that LOTS of people will have to reassess the value of their memberships based on these changes.
