On Monday, it was reported that Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka has officially pleaded not guilty to the murder charges in a 32-year-old cold case. Unfortunately, we may never know what exactly happened as the 72-year-old is now claiming he suffers from early onset dementia.
As we previously reported, the WWE star is accused of allegedly murdering his then girlfriend Nancy Argentino on May 10, 1983. It's said that the victim, on the night in question, got into an altercation with the athlete in her hotel room prior to a wrestling match.
What's odd is that Snuka originally changed his story a few times to the police.
The wrestling celeb first said that Miz Argentino hurt herself when she hit her head after he shoved her but later claimed that his former flame injured herself when she slipped and hit her head on the side of a highway — despite the fact there was no evidence of gravel in her autopsy report.
Hmm, very inneresting!
Still, Snuka recently appeared in court in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania and denied the 3rd degree murder and involuntary manslaughter charges.
To make matters worse, the legend made some startling confessions about not knowing what day it was, never attending school, and the fact he doesn't know how to read or write.
Yikes! It looks like we may truly never get closure on this unfortunate case.
Regardless, if Snuka is convicted he could easily face 40 years behind bars. Oof!
