We recently sat down to chat with iconic comedian Joan Rivers and her daughter, Melissa, and we had a blast!

The pair are very exceptionally busy these days. Their reality show, Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best, just got picked up for a second season - and the finale airs tonight on WE. Plus, they're also doing Fashion Police on E! and all their many other endeavors.

Perez chatted with them about why they now decided to do a reality show about their lives, how they managed to get two shows on competing networks, why Joan has no interest in doing red carpets anymore, dish on their Fashion Police co-star Kelly Osbourne and more!

Looks like Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best? is off to a great start!

Joan Rivers' new WE tv series has started quite strong. Here are some numbers for ya:

- The series premiere averaged nearly 800,000 total viewers.
- The series premiere outperformed WE tv's primetime average by +127% among HH rating, +131% among W18-49 and +137% among W25-54.
- It was WE tv's most watched Tuesday ever among total viewers in its time slot.

Pretty impressive. How do U get a show to start off so well? Here's a quote from Joan about it:

"Joan's words of wisdom to all people with sitcoms– a guarantee for a hit show - get all the male executives in one room and promise you will sleep with none of them"……

Ha! Thanks for the advice, Joan. We'll def keep that in mind!

As you might have already heard, Joan Rivers was set to appear on FOX & Friends tomorrow to promote her new show, but she's been banned from the program after talking smack about Sarah Palin.

Well, Joan has EXCLUSIVELY reached out to PerezHilton.com to tell us her thoughts on the ban and Sarah Palin. True to form, she doesn't hold back!

This is what Joan asked us to share with all of you:

"What kills me the most is to think I voted for her two-left-footed daughter on Dancing with the Stars. I should have followed my heart and voted for Hasselhoff. Next to her he looked like Nureyev.

Since when is Sarah Palin a wordsmith? She's actually compared herself to Shakespeare after she invented the word "refudiate." Then Shakespeare tweeted back from heaven, "Fuckest thou!"

Ha! Fuckest thou! We're going to use that one!

Eh, you don't need FOX News, bb! They need YOU! Think of all the viewers they're going to lose tomorrow morning when your shining, beautiful face won't be gracing their station.

Looks like Fox News has got Sarah Palin's back, big time!

Joan Rivers was set to appear on FOX & Friends tomorrow to promote her new show, but she's been banned from the program after talking smack about Sarah Palin.

Rivers said that Palin is "stupid and a threat," and that she deserves partial blame for the Arizona shooting. These comments did NOT sit well with Fox.

Don't worry, Joan. We're sure plenty of people will still tune in for your new show Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best?
