A burglar broke into the home of an Idaho man in hopes of stealing his gun collection, but his plans were foiled by a savage security force…
The man's pet squirrel named Joey (pictured above)!
When Adam Pearl returned home on February 7, he found snowy footprints leading around the back of his property and noticed a few small items were missing inside.
The homeowner knew something was wrong when doors were left opened inside and he found scratches on his gun case.
When police officer Ashley Turner came out to take a report, she was startled by Pearl's pet squirrel and asked if he would bite. Pearl said the rodent didn't normally bite, but didn't rule anything out.
After leaving to investigate the crime, Turner returned to the scene a few hours later with some of Pearl's stolen items — and some crazy news.
While questioning the suspect, the officer noticed he had scratches on his hand and asked them if they were from a squirrel. The robber then admitted that the squirrel wouldn't stop attacking him until he left the house!
AH-Mazing! Who knew squirrels were so heroic?
Pearl said Joey is relishing his fame by enjoying Whoppers candy, his favorite treat. Eat up, Joey — you deserve it!
