Festival de Cannes is finally underway and there are a TON of intriguing independent films for sale.
Harvey Weinstein purchased the last two Best Picture winners (The King’s Speech and The Artist) in Cannes and you can be sure he’s on the lookout for more!!
Martin Scorcese’s The Wolf of Wall Street is one of the biggest titles out there, with Leo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill helping tell the true story of a party-boy stockbroker who spent 22 months in jail.

The film follows the poet of darkness as he tries to solve a series of murders inspired by his own prose.
This is NOT a biopic. THIS NEVER HAPPENED. But if it did, perhaps it would have gone something like this.
The film is directed by V for Vendetta's James McTeigue and is set to release in the US on 27 April 2012
