TIDAL Fires Its CFO & COO Days After Being Hit With $5 Million Lawsuit!

TIDAL has had its fair share of troubles already, from major lawsuits to CEOs stepping down.

Well this week Jay Z's streaming music service continued to run into problems as Yesh Music and John Emanuele​ from the band The American Dollar filed a lawsuit against the company for streaming their songs without paying them royalties.

While this was bad enough news, it was also reported Tuesday that mere days after the suit was filed, Young Hov's company has fired its CFO Chris Hart and COO Nils Nuell!

TIDAL also made another major change as they moved their operations and accounting divisions from Oslo, Norway to New York City — where Jay lives. However, the company's tech team will remain in Norway.

A rep from the company released a statement regarding the news, saying:

TIDAL Facing Lawsuit For Not Paying Artists Royalties! Find Out What They Had To Say About It!

Jay Z's streaming music service TIDAL may be in a bit of trouble — more than just lack of subscribers we mean.

They're reportedly facing a lawsuit for not paying artists!

Yesh Music and John Emanuele​ from the band The American Dollar are suing the streaming service for $5 million stating that TIDAL streamed 116 songs from the band without paying ANY royalties!

Attorney Richard Garbarini stated that the group never received any money for their work until last November when they asked the streaming service to remove their music. Garbarini went on to say:

"I find it fairly amazing an organization that claims it was going to pay the artists, systematically does not pay the artists."

While TIDAL has had their own problems over the past year from allegedly releasing Lil Wayne's album for free, to charging credit cards on closed accounts, the Holy Grail rapper's company is looking to squash this suit early as they released a statement saying:
