Ha! Here comes the damage control!
After 11-year-old Jared Gilmore essentially outed his Mad Men co-star, January Jones as a frigid bitch, fellow castmember John Slattery has jumped to her defense, and claims that the comments were taken out of context!
We would have personally just brought J.K. Simmons back, but we suppose this makes sense, too!
Although there was speculation that John Slattery and Sam Elliot were both up for the role of J. Jonah Jameson in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot, sources close to the production have revealed that the Daily Bugle chief will NOT be featured in the flick at all!
Kind of a bummer, but Peter Parker is still in high school in this adaptation, so we're not surprised that his boss won't be around!
We'll just have to wait for the sequel, we guess! Sigh.
We seriously hope that this is true!
Any film that has her in it, even if it's just as a minor character, instantly becomes more awesome!
Although Mary Jane Watson has been cut from the upcoming Spider-Man reboot, there are now rumblings that director Marc Webb has approached Zooey Deschanel to play the part of Betty Brant, J.J. Jameson's secretary at The Daily Bugle!
Although the original Sam Raimi series featured Elizabeth Banks as the character in an extremely supporting role, Webb allegedly wants to expand the part significantly for his interpretation!
A source explains:
"He wants a strong performer to carry the role and Zooey fits the bill perfectly. The role is hers if she wants it.”
Meanwhile, John Slattery and Sam Elliot are both major contenders for the role of Jameson.
Wow! Let's hope this isn't bull shiz!
With the cast these guys are pulling in, dare we say that we're getting a little excited for this movie??

We wonder how many more cast members of Mad Men she's going to swipe!
In addition to Jon Hamm's already reoccurring character on 30 Rock, Tina Fey has reportedly cast fellow Mad Men actor John Slattery as a Congressional candidate in an upcoming episode of the NBC comedy!
We think he'll suit the part just fine!
Now just have Christina Hendricks and her voluptuous tittays join in the fun, and we'll be in HEAVEN.
What do U think?? Are U excited to see more Mad Men on 30 Rock??
