Last we heard about iCarly, the show had been renewed for a fifth season, even though production on season four hadn't begun yet!
Looks like Nickelodeon has even more big plans for the show, because they're bringing on Michelle Obama to appear in an upcoming iCarly episode!
According to Nick's network president Cyma Zarghami, Michelle will play herself, and she'll be promoting Joining Forces, which is "an initiative aimed at increasing awareness of and support for military families."
In the episode's storyline, which was written specifically for Michelle and the Joining Forces initiative, Carly Shay is the daughter of "a colonel serving overseas in the military." Carly's BFFs breaks rules so she can chat with her dad on his b-day, and then "the first lady discovers it and comes to have a chat with them in the most positive way possible."
More from Zarghami on Michelle's episode:
"When she approached us, after he was done jumping for joy, Dan sat down and came up with a very, very clever idea. It's a feel-good initiative, and regardless of your political affinity, everybody cares about these families, so it just feels right."
Sounds great! We'll def check out the show when Michelle's episode premieres!
Will U tune in for Michelle Obama on iCarly?
