And though he may be thankful that the experience wasn't worse, the actual phone call was still pure horror. He says:

Jon Bon Jovi still remembers every detail of the night his daughter overdosed on heroin. The worst part was the shock. He says:

"Worst phone call ever."

Living on a prayer IS fair!

Jon Bon Jovi was on holiday with his family in St Barthelemy, France.

The musician slash singer was soaking up the sun and taking in the sand with his boys, and the New Jersey family looked to be having one hell of a time!

After the month that Jon Bon Jovi and his family have been through, we're not surprised they wanted to get away from it all for the Thanksgiving holiday.

And being out of the big city and back with family has to be good for Stephanie Bongiovi!

The rock and roll daughter has a lot to be thankful for this year- not dying from her heroin overdose, not being charged with drug possession thanks to a legal loophole…

And of course having a dad like Jon Bon Jovi who can be cool and supportive thanks to his own experience with the drugs.

Of course, he has way more experience with the sex and rock 'n' roll parts of the equation, but hey! At least Steph knows she can count on him!

We just hope she says thanks!

Jon Bon Jovi is one of those celebs that likes to keep his family away from the media. Howeves, Bon Jovi was all smiles when he spotted photogs snapping pics of Him and his family on a European vaca!

The rocker treated is wife, Dorothea Hurley, and three of their four kids Stephanie Rose (18), Jacob Hurley (9) and Romeo Jon (7), to a day of sight seeing around the island.

Jon and his son all sported shorts on the New Years Eve day!

It must be nice to holiday on an island!
