Justin Bieber: Never Say Never Director's Fan Cut Out This Friday!

never say never gets re released this friday in directors cut

Thinking about trying to catch one more Oscar nominated film before this Sunday's Academy Awards? Forget it!

Sure, you've heard wonderful things about The King's Speech, but you've got bigger fish to fry now because Justin Bieber: Never Say Never Director's Fan Cut is being released THIS FRIDAY!

That's right, Bieblievers! Last week, we mentioned that Paramount was considering re-releasing the film with additional footage, and now it's happening…even though the original version is still in theaters.

The film is being released solely in 3D, and it will run for ONE WEEK ONLY until they extend the release with 40 minutes of new footage, and 30 minutes of footage from the original cut out.

For those of you out there who are opposed to this idea, you can still catch the original version of the film in glorious 2D!

Here's what director Jon Chu had to say about the new cut of the film:

"I realized I had an embarrassment of riches when I was I in the cutting room. This cut allows me to retain some of the best scenes from the original movie, while incorporating previously unseen footage and new material I shot during our extensive promotional tour on behalf of the movie. Justin's dedication to his fan base is unwavering and I was inspired as a filmmaker to attempt to provide them a unique experience that showed even more of his world."

Should be inneresting to see how many devoted Bieber fans return to theaters for round two…and then the sequel AND THEN the director's fan cut of the sequel! Ha!

Will U return to theaters for the new cut of Justin Bieber: Never Say Never?

The Biebs 3-D Movie Is Going To Be "Epic!"

Or so thinks director Jon Chu, who seems to be already making room for it on his greatest movies of all-time list, right next to the Godfather and Citzen Kane!

Justin Bieber's docu-concert flick is due in theaters next Valentine's Day and though the boy has more buzz around him than a beehive, Jon Chu wants to make sure every living soul on the planet comes to see this movie, even if you aren't a fan of The Biebs.

He excessively talked up the project in an interview, saying:

"[It's] a movie for his fans, a movie for people who don't know him, and we're gonna tell the underdog story of where he came from. Because it's a really fascinating story and it has a lot to do with our sort of digital lifestyle now. He was able to do what corporations try to do now when they use YouTube and they don't even know what to do with it yet. It's a pretty cool story for our time."

Yes, the history books are going to remember 2011 as the year the Bieber changed the face of cinema! Move over Avatar!

You need to simmer down and take it down a notch, bb! You're going to make a bundle off of Bieber Fever. Just be happy with that and relax!

New Director Steps Up To Bieber Flick

Justin Bieber is officially well on his way to 3D glory!

After An Inconvenient Truth director Davis Guggenheim dropped out of the Biebs’ 3D movie, the search was on for a worthy replacement. Paramount has found that replacement in Step Up 3D director Jon Chu.

Here’s what Chu had to say about the honor:

"When I was approached about doing Justin's film, I jumped at the opportunity to tell a story with honesty and heart. Most people don't know that his is a true underdog story, and I hope to tell it in a compelling, genuine way, using all source materials available to convey his tale of becoming an icon for this digital age. This is the story of a new voice continuing the tradition of musicians that defined their generation."

Right on, Jon!

While the prestige factor may have slightly diminished with this change, we think the Step Up movies might be better experience than a documentary about global warming.

Filming for the Biebs’ movie has already begun. They’re currently shooting behind-the-scenes footage from his Nashville concert. From there, cameras will follow him until his Madison Square Garden concert on August 31.

3D Bieber will hit theaters on February 11, 2011, which is Valentine’s Day weekend.

Will U celebrate your love with that special someone by watching 3 dimensions of Bieber?
