Bill Cosby is probably breathing a sigh of relief… for now, anyway.
The 71-year-old's questioning was initially scheduled for Wednesday, but the U.S. Magistrate has ruled that it will be put off until after attorneys have had a chance to appeal his previous decision that ordered her to partake in the under-oath interview.
"It would not serve (and in fact would offend) the 'interest of justice' for this court to deny the motion for a stay, and thereby effectively deny Mrs. Cosby any right to appeal. In fairness then Mrs. Cosby's deposition shall be stayed [postponed] pending her appeal."
The deposition of the scandalized star's wife was requested in a civil case in which seven women claim that the actor drugged and sexually assaulted them.
