Six BFFz are SO much better than five!!!
And that is why the mother in How I Met Your Mother has been confirmed as the newest REGULAR addition to the cast!!!
Cristin Milioti, who was just introduced in the season 8 finale, won the title of series regular for the ninth and *tear* FINAL season of the uber-popular sitcom.
This news is especially monumental because it is the first time EVER that HIMYM has extended the regulars beyond the original stars like Josh Radnor, Alyson Hannigan, Neil Patrick Harris, Cobie Smulders and Jason Segel.
Now we're absolutely positive the final season will be the best yet!
Congrats, Cristin and welcome to the TV fam!

Cat's out of the bag! Ha JK!!
Josh Radnor AKA Ted Mosby from How I Met Your Mother, was getting some major flirt from Katy Perry at the White House Correspondents' Dinner when he thought to himself _________________.

And sadly, it's not Neil Patrick Harris.
Instead, indie princess Elizabeth Olsen is falling for Josh Radnor from How I Met Your Mother in his second directorial feature, Liberal Arts.
Zac Efron is also in the cast, but the trailer (above) doesn't really show him so we're not sure what role he'll be playing, which makes us super sadsos.
Considering the film is about a 35-year-old alum falling for a 19-year-old college student while visiting his old stomping grounds one weekend, we have a feeling that Efron will be Radner's better looking and younger competition.
We could be wrong, but if that's the case, who do U think Mz. Olsen will choose by the time the credits start rolling?

Looks like they're going to try and shoot for Friends territory here!
Not that we blame them…especially after last season's ratings!
That's right, How I Met Your Mother will be back for its eighth season come fall, but after the long-running sitcom had a surprising boost in viewership during last season - 8.5 million, to be exact - execs at CBS and 20th Century Fox have reportedly started tentative negotiations to renew it for a NINTH year!
But will the talent want to stick around past the 2012-2013 season?
Jason Segel has already stated

"Phew" is what we're imagining Bob Saget is saying to himself right now.
We got EXCLUSIVE word that there are no plans to replace Bob as Ted's "voice" in the series finale of CBS' How I Met Your Mother.
It was earlier speculated that Josh would replace Bob as the show's narrator for the finale, but executive producer Craig Thomas has reassured us that Bob isn't going anywhere for the finale.
If the series finale does show future Ted in the year 2030, we will obviously see Josh in old makeup (and not Bob), therefore his own voice would be used. But as for any off-camera narration, it looks like Bob still a job.
Great news! We'd be a little confused as viewers to hear Josh's voice. Don't U agree??
We're glad they're keeping things consistent, especially since the show is SO good with their continuity!

We hope they're making the right move here! After so many years of HIMYM, it'd be a shame to end the show on anything but a fantastic note!
According to a new report by Michael Ausiello, Bob Saget will be replaced by Josh Radnor as the narrator on the series finale of How I Met Your Mother!
Here's the scoop from Ausiello:

What what in the butt?
How I Met Your Mother star Josh Radnor is apparently releasing a memoir called One Big Blissful Thing in April. Writing a book isn't easy and we definitely applaud him for branching out into the literary world, but isn't this a little premature?
We realize he's a successful Hollywood actor that has come from humble Ohio roots, but he's only 37 and he's only famous for one show!
What kind of wisdom does he really have to share with the world? According to Amazon's description of the book, stuff like this:
