And not just any cross-pollination! It's a Josh Schwartz special!

Leighton Meester and Adam Brody are in love dating, everyone! Spread the news! It's one of the most glorious couple alerts to ever hit the interwebz! Ahhh!

We always fantasized about Gossip Girl and The O.C. joining forces, but we had resigned the idea to Tumblr fan-fiction.

Pfft! What a silly move on our part! Because clearly anything's possible these days in the world of wishes!

Just like lil' Pinocchio, one of ours has come true as sources reveal the two have been dating for weeks now, saying:

"They were always close and friendly [on the set of 2011 dramedy The Oranges]."

Blair and Seth Leighton and Adam have been enjoying the revels of early dating by traveling to Bangkok earlier this year and getting their intellectualism on at LACMA (the well lit-up art museum of El Lay) on February 1.

So basically… they're totally gonna be Valentine's. LOLz!

And is it just us or does he bare a fitting resemblance to Penn Badgley? We mean, it's just enough of a similarity to let our DAIR dreams feel fulfilled on top of the already momentous occasion!

Last we heard about Gossip Girl creator Josh Schwartz, he was working on a US remake of UK sci-fi series Misfits.

Now, Josh has teamed up with his Gossip Girl co-creator Stephanie Savage to produce veteran sci-fi writer/producer Rockne S. O'Bannon's new mystery drama Cult for The CW!

Josh Schwartz is one busy man! While the upper east siders are busy bashing Lonely Boy, their creator has been working on a new series to storm the states.

Born in the UK, Misfits is about of group of kids doing community service in London when all of a sudden an electrical storm hits them. They survive, but with….dum dum dummmm….super powers! KA-PLOW!

And even though the US remake of Skins didn't do so well, tv minds are thinking Misfits has a way better chance.

Yeah, we'll give it a shot. We love science fiction!

Oh! It's like Gossip Girl gone vintage! We likey!

Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the creative minds behind the hit CW series, have reportedly signed to produce a film adaptation of the Anna Godbersen-written young adult novel The Luxe, a 19th century class drama which focuses on four teens in New York which "features conflicts between old money and new money, the upper and lower class, and star-crossed lovers."

Apparently, they'll be partnering with Leslie Borgenstein and Bob Levy, and have tapped Ben Wohl to write the script, which they hope will be sort of a younger Moulin Rouge-esque music-driven story!

Nice! We think adolescents will probably eat this kind of story up!

Especially if they can secure a popular young cast! Tons of possibilities with this one!

Looking forward to seeing how this develops!

Yay!!!

Michelle Trachtenberg has revealed that she will indeed reprise her role as Georgina Sparks on Gossip Girl.

During a backstage interview at the Independent 2011 Spirit Awards, the actress said:

“Yes, I will be back. Georgina is trouble, that word has become synonymous… there will definitely more ‘Gossip Girl’ in my future!”

We can't wait to see what kind of diabolical dramz Georgina will bring to the Upper East Side this time.

Back in September, we learned that Rachel Bilson and The O.C. creator Josh Schwartz had plans to work together on a new NBC series, Ghost Angeles.

Now, it looks like they will collaborate on a show, but no ghosts will be involved in this one. Bilson is finalizing a deal to star in the CW's Hart of Dixie, an hourlong dramedy being put together by Schwartz, WBTV, and Stephanie Savage's Fake Empire.

Bilson would star as "a young New York City doctor who inherits a medical practice in a small Southern town inhabited by an eclectic and eccentric group of characters."

Definitely sounds more intriguing to us than The Ghost Whisperer Ghost Angeles.
