The Oscars are killing it in the comedy department this year.

Not only did Chris Rock deliver a politically poignant and hilarious opening monologue, but the academy brought the humor to a whole new level with a clip parodying Best Picture nominees like The Revenant and Joy.

While there were many fantastic moments in the bit that tackled the diversity issue, we have to say we LOVED Tracy Morgan taking on the role of Eddie Redmayne in The Danish Girl. You totally nailed it, Tracy, and it's SO nice to see you up and running again!

The actress was nominated for Best Lead Actress playing the titular role in David O. Russell's Joy, which makes Lawrence the youngest person to rack up four Academy Award nominations — but that's not all she's accomplished!

You can't win 'em all.

Jennifer Lawrence may be known for her unconditional Hollywood attitude as much as she is for her acting, but her latest quirky moment may have gotten her into a bit of trouble.

While the press room originally laughed at her for scolding the accented-man, some fans have pointed out that he could have simply not been very good with English and just wanted to make sure he got his question out correctly.

Ridley Scott WON'T Be Played Off The Stage When The Martian Lands Best Motion Picture, Musical Or Comedy, At The 2016 Golden Globes!

Filed under: Matt DamonFilm FlickersAwardzGolden Globes

Unlike the Oscars, the Golden Globes recognize Comedy and Musical films separately from Drama!

And that's good news for The Martian!

In a tough category that included The Big Short, Joy, Spy, and Trainwreck, the funny flick took the gold — despite being ripped on throughout the ceremony for not necessarily being the funniest movie!

Even director Ridley Scott made a joke about the categorization of the space dram(edy) starring Matt Damon!

The filmmaker would NOT back down from being played off either — he expertly went through his SEVERAL notecards, and said "screw you" when the music came on to cue him to wrap it up! LOLz!

Joy to the world, and the Globe to Joy!

Jennifer Lawrence just pulled off another win for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy at the 2016 Golden Globes!

This time she had to beat out some real comedy stars — Melissa McCarthy for Spy, Maggie Smith for The Lady in the Van, Lily Tomlin for Grandma, and of course Amy Schumer for Trainwreck!

Poll: Which Nominee Would You Most Like To See Get Drunk?

We doubt there would be more awkwardness with her bestie than with her director!

J.Law told David O. Russell that she wanted to be buried next to him! That's one morbid compliment!
