Despite controversy, tension, and SUPER awkward auditions, Kelly Clarkson — the ORIGINAL American Idol — has given two Grammy-winning thumbs UP to the additions of Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey and Keith Urban as the new American Idol judges!

The soon-to-be wife recently dished:

"The show needed to be freshened up a bit… I'm a huge Mariah Carey fan. If I had seen her as one of the judges when I was trying out, that would have been so cool."

Whoop whoop!

Hmm, we wonder if Mariah would have given Kelly an initial, Hollywood "YES"?!

It's nice to hear SOME positive feedback concerning the new judges, as other former American Idol contestants — like Jennifer Hudson for example — haven't been as kind!

But whatever you may think about Nicki and Mariah's onscreen "banter," you can't deny it's intriguing to watch!

It's ACTUALLY happening!!!

Season 4 of The Voice is less than to months away and we have the promos to prove it will be nothing short of AMAZEBALLS!

While we'll always fondly look back at our time with Christina Aguilera and Cee-Lo Green, we cannot wait to see what HEAT new judges Usher and Shakira will bring!!

We're not sure what to expect this season, except that Adam Levine and Blake Shelton better watch their backs because there is a new sheriff in town!!!

During last night's American Idol, tempers boiled over when one singer semi-dissed country music after impressing the judges with her country-esque voice…

But Nicki Minaj gets SUPER pissed for an entirely different reason!

We think this is the first time we've seen Keith Urban get so upset over something!

He's usually just the meat in the Mariah Carey - Nicki Minaj spat sandwich!

By the by, this is supposedly the fight that would later lead to Nicki supposedly making comments to go after Mariah with a gun. Obviously, you don't see/hear that, as it happened once the cameras stopped rolling … if it even happened at all!

Whatever happened, there still seems to be no love lost between these two divas. Who else is thinking the live shows are going to be CRAY?!
