Vampire Diaries Season 3 Spoilers!

Season 3 spoilers

You've been warned. Spoilers ahead!

Executive producer of The Vampire Diaries, Julie Plec, is referring to season 3 as the "Season of Originals".

Sounds like Klaus and Elijah will be playing a bigger role in the series starting this September.

As for the rest of the cast THIS SEASON, Plec revealed:

“All I’ve ever said is that there will be some severe and tragic consequences, and that the loss of life will be extreme over the last couple of episodes.”

No word on who or how many characters may be saying bye-bye, but she continued:

“We set this ritual in motion early on, and it needs several sacrificial elements, so if that happens - and when it happens, and if it goes off without a hitch - there will be a lot of loss of life.”

Michael Trevino, who returned to last night's episode as Tyler, offered some insight into his character's fate, saying:

"I don’t know where they’re going to go with Tyler in Season 3, but there have to be some [more] changes. Hopefully we can get into explaining what he was doing when he was gone, and who was he involved with.”

Sounds like Tyler made the cut, but only time will tell as Plec ominously added:

“We do have ways of letting our audience see their fan favorites again, over time.”

Okay, so pretty much anybody is game to go bye-bye.

What characters do U think will be killed off by the end of the season?

Kevin Williamson Says His New Show WON'T Crossover With The Vampire Diaries

kevin williamson says new show wont crossover with vampire diaries

This sounds like a lot of fun!!!

During a recent interview, Kevin Williamson spoke about his new pilot The Secret Circle, and he's made it a point to emphasize that it's an entirely separate project from The Vampire Diaries:

"My biggest fear is I don't want to be split between the two shows and I don't want to water myself down and hurt either."

“My goal is for Julie [Plec] and I to stay focused on The Vampire Diaries, and Andrew Miller and his team will be in place and we will help and guide him along the way [on The Secret Circle]. I’m not going to step away from my vampires. I’m too invested at this point; it’s too much of a family for me to walk away from, but there’s room in our day for me to help guide The Secret Circle along the way.”

And here's Kevin on the similarities between the two shows:

“Those similarities exist, but the mythology is completely different."

“The witches in The Vampire Diaries are not in the same universe. We’re not connecting them; there are no crossovers. There are no vampires and werewolves in the witch world in Secret Circle.”

“You’ll watch us build another mythology based on L.J. Smith’s books that will become as twisty and turny as The Vampire Diaries [is] but with a whole new story. There’s an epic love story that we hint at in the pilot that is going to blow up about two soulmates. It’s not as violent as The Vampire Diaries or as scary.”

We're glad to hear that Kevin will continue to focus on Vampire Diaries as he pursues this next project.

And yes, as we said before, we'll def tune in for this new show. Sounds pret-ty good to us!

Are U looking forward to Kevin Williamson's Secret Circle? Would U like to see it crossover with Vampire Diaries?

Kevin Williamson Talks The Vampire Diaries Companion Show!

kevin-williamson-discusses-new-companion-show-to-the-vampire-diaries

This keeps sounding better and better!

The Vampire Diaries executive producer Kevin Williamson recently announced that he would be developing a 'companion' show to his smash CW series - involving a group of college-aged paranormal investigators - and he's now revealing more details about what he wants to accomplish with the series!

He explains:

"It's set on a college campus. There's a little bit of some paranormal investigation involved, but it's more about the characters. It's more about what [fellow executive producer] Julie [Plec] and I like to do, which is create a world of people. A young girl goes to college, and it turns out there's a lot more going on. We've got this whole world and this whole sort of mythology about this girl and the journey that she takes. It's full of scary, horrible murder and surprises, and all the twists and turns that we love to do, but once again it is a story about epic love. That's what we're about here at The Vampire Diaries. And that's sort of why you call it a 'companion piece', is because you will see those similarities in the show. You know, a bunch of fun characters that you can visit every week and watch them go through all these scary, twisty storylines, but it all leads to some greater story about epic and tragic love. It would be a companion in the sense that they would sort of exist in the same world, but it's a different show. I don't want to mess with [The Vampire Diaries]. This show's gold. This show's very special."

It certainly sounds like it!

Like all the fun of those ridiculous paranormal research reality shows, but with actual story and creative license! And romance!

We're very excited to see this come to fruition! We'll DEFINITELY be tuned in!

What do U think?? Will U watch Kevin's new show??

SPOILER ALERT!!! What Going Down In Vampire Diaries Next Season!!!

Filed under: TV NewsIan SomerhalderKat Graham

123the-vampire-diaries-cast_558x417.jpg

Summer is almost over, which means all the decent TV shows that have been on hiatus are finally coming back. One of the big smash hits of last season was The Vampire Diaries.

We know a lot of you fans are chewing at the bit to know the answers to the BIG questions: Is Jeremy a goner? When does Tyler go all Jacob Black on us? And holy-effing-TWIST, Katherine is back???

Well, we have some answers, you blood-thirsty fiends!

WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD! DON'T READ BEYOND THIS POINT UNLESS YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS! SERIOUSLY, GO AWAY IF YOU THINK YOU MIGHT BITCH LATER ABOUT HAVING THINGS RUINED!

Okay, now that the whiners are gone, here's what we got:

Executive producer Julie Plec spills that Nina Dobrev will be playing double-duty for awhile, meaning don't expect Katherine to be leaving town anytime soon. The bitch will be turning all kinds of tricks to try and screw with the Salvatore bros, played by the delish Paul Welsey and Ian Somerhalder. Julie says to look out for how each of the brothers reacts to their reunions with their long-lost vampire maker. It's going to be interesting.

No word from her when Tyler is going to get hairy, but she did give a sort of answer to the "is Jeremy a vampire" question.

She says he is "alive." Take from that what you will.

Are U excited for the new season of VD?
