Oh, the tangled webs we weave!
He's defeated Green Goblin and Doc Octopus, but Spider-Man's most persistent foe appears to be a U.S. District Court.
Julie Taymor's ongoing lawsuit against Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is, well, ongoing!
You might remember when the original writer/creator was canned from the $75 mil production last year or when she filed suit claiming copyright infringement of original work soon thereafter.
The judge is considering arguments from both parties' attorneys, trying to decide whether or not to admit certain pieces of evidence — including outlines written by Taymor and videos of the production in its entirety.
Attorneys from Taymor's side are confident with their case, claiming:

Gah! We thought that we had heard the last of all of the Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark drama!
Guess not!
Although we had reported that former director Julie Taymor, who was fired from the troubled production back last March, is now claiming in court papers that she was a victim of CONSPIRACY, and that her former collaborators on the project - Michael Cohl, Jeremiah J. Harris, and Glen Berger - were secretly working on a rival script without her knowledge so they could push her out!

Excuse us for a second, while we take a deep breath before we recap the Julie Taymor/Spider-Man lawsuit saga…….
Back in November, Julie Taymor filed a lawsuit against the Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark producers for violating her "creative rights as an author" of the play…and for failing to compensate her "for their continued use of her work to date."
Then, the producers released a statement in which they fired back at Julie, claiming they'd already been trying to resolve everything with her out of court.
THEN, Julie put collaborators Bono and The Edge on blast, asserting that they used her as a scapegoat to escape the bad press they were receiving for all of the show's injuries and delays.

That'll probably be better than the actual musical, LOL!!
Filmmaker Jacob Cohl, son of lead producer Michael Cohl, had his camera recording EVERYTHING backstage! Everything from day one of rehearsals to the June 2011 opening of Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark.
And if Uve been in the loop, the U know there was lotsa shiz hittin' that fan, ha!!
But of course ex-director Julie Taymor is suing the producers, trying to make sure any footage of her never sees the light of day.
But they've answered her lawsuit with a hissing response:

Uh-oh! We had a feeling that this whole mess was going to be a little less-than-amicable, but looks like someone isn't wasting any time!
Julie Taymor filed a lawsuit last week regarding her abrupt firing as director from the so-bad-it's-just-bad, accident-prone, $65 million musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, under claims that the production has infringed upon her creative input, and now, she's lashing out at her collaborators, Bono and The Edge, and asserts that they used her as a scapegoat to escape the bad press they were receiving for all of the injuries and delays!
She explains:

This is turning into a giant web of Broadway heresay and court room drama.
As reported earlier, former Spiderman co-writer Julie Taymor has filed a lawsuit to force the producers of her formal musical to give her the dough she deserves.
