Poor Julie Taymor!
It must be pretty rough being thrown around in conversations of Broadway Spiderman's many hurdles.
Not only that but she claims she's been missing out on all the sweet gold she deserves for doing her part (albeit a controversial one). And now she's ready to sling it back in the producers' faces.
The Stage Director and Choreographers' Society (SDC) have already filed a claim against the producers for failing to pay Julie her proper royalties earlier this year.
And now Julie is filing some paperwork of her own — a big, fat lawsuit!
Her lawyer states:

She can, and that's the point!
Though she was taken off the project after many, many, MANY problems with the show's production, Julie Taymor is actually still eligible to receive a Tony for directing Spider-Man: Turn Out The Dark.

At least nobody is likely to get hurt this time around…unless one of the lawyer's accidentally shuts a briefcase on someone's hand. LOLz!
To recap, back in June, the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society filed an arbitration claim against Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark producers on behalf of Julie Taymor.
The union claimed that Julie was owed approximately $300,000 in royalties, despite the fact that she was fired from the production.

Did Julie Taymor direct this live Aladdin Show??? LOLz!
Fortunately, nobody was injured so it doesn't appear that we have another Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark on our hands, but we were still disturbed to hear how a live Aladdin performance at Disney's California Adventure went horribly wrong! (above)
Here's the statement that Disneyland spokeswoman Suzi Brown released about the incident:

Fun! Wonder if she's going to rework it at all?
Julie Taymor announced today that she will directing the Broadway version of Disney's The Lion King in Madrid. The Spanish production has no start date yet, but rehearsals start today and we think having the original director for the show speaks volumes. Last time she helmed this show, she won a Tony.
Which is a lot more than she can see for the last show she worked on!
Good luck, Julie! Break a leg!

Ha! Poor thing isn't going to live this down … ever!
This August, there's one musical premiering that will surely pack the New York International Fringe Festival:
The Legend of Julie Taymor, or The Musical That Killed Everybody!
According to the show's release,

It's been a tough road for Julie Taymor! We can't blame her for needing to vent a little bit.
While it was very nice to see Julie playing nice with the Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark team at the show's opening night, it looks like Julie's still got a lot to say about the new version of the show, which was made after she was fired.
Here's Julie on the Internet's role in hurting the Spider-Man musical:
