Four teenage students were shot in their high school parking lot in San Francisco, and one of the students is in critical condition.
According to police, the shooting occurred on Tuesday as students were being let out of school for the day on the shared campus of the June Jordan School for Equity and City Arts and Technology High School.
Three of the victims ran back inside the public high school; students initially brushed off the incident as a prank until authorities triggered an immediate lockdown.
Police ordered students to stay in place until officers searched each room of the school and determined it was not an active shooter situation.
