It's about time!

Joran van der Sloot, the man who has been found guilty in Peru for the murder of Stephany Flores and main suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, may finally be getting the punishment he deserves from the U.S. justice system.

Sources are reporting that the process to extradite the criminal from Peruvian prison has begun and authorities hope to bring him to trial for charges of extortion and wire fraud from the Holloway case.

Following the execution of Troy Davis, a man convicted for the murder of a police officer despite the overwhelming amount of disagreement from American citizens, Michael Moore has thought it best to boycott the state of Georgia.

Troy even begged for a lie detector test to save his life, but it wasn't given.

Not only were everyday citizens outraged, Hollywood got involved too. Alec Baldwin, Kim Kardashian, and Diddy (to name a few) all called on the power of Twitter to send a message to the peachy state.

Unfortunately, it was too late. Troy was given lethal injection Wednesday night, and it shook America's belief in the justice system once again.

Yesterday, we were thrilled to see how many people were taking a stand and speaking out in an attempt to save 42-year-old Georgia native/death row convict Troy Davis from the death penalty.

As a reminder, Troy was accused of killing Savannah police officer Mark MacPhail in 1989, but many believe there was too much doubt to warrant an execution.

American Hikers Freed From Iran!

Shane Bauer and Joshua Fattal have finally been set free on $1,000,000 bail!

In 2009, the two Americans accidentally hiked into the wrong territory when they went on a recreational hike in the Iraqi Kurdistan mountains.

Iranian police detained the two men along with fellow hiker and Shane's fiance, Sarah Shourd, on charges of trespassing and suspicion of being American spies.

They were ordered to be detained until their trial.
