Now this is an interesting development.
With Star Trek 3 losing two directors, we started to think the sci-fi sequel might never happen. But someone is going to breathe new life into the series.
Someone who's been there all along…

Simon Pegg, who plays Scotty the engineer, has been hired to co-write the next movie!
Seeing as he also co-wrote Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz, we're taking this as a very good sign of things to come!
Simon will be working with Dark Blue creator Doug Jung on the script. And with Fast & Furious director Justin Lin at the helm, this could be the best Trek yet!
Star Trek 3 is set to come out July 8, 2016.

Finally! And yet, still so far away…
Star Trek 3 now has an official release date, and although we know when the movie is coming - it won't be happening anytime soon!

But at least it's happening on a fateful day!
The third movie in this storied franchise will hit movie theaters on July 8, 2016, a full 50 years after the television series officially premiered on September 8th, 1966.
Paramount has also announced that director

Yep, word on the street has it that the sixth and seventh installments of the Fast and the Furious franchise will be filmed back to back, working on one interlinking plot.
Chris Morgan is currently
deciding what the hell this one is gonna be about finalizing the story. And many fingers point to F&F vet Justin Lin to return in the director's chair.
Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and The Rock are all returning of course, but

Hope raced through our veins when we heard that Megan Ellison got the film rights to the Terminator franchise. She helped produce True Grit, which was fantastic, and we began thinking she could bring that to the Terminators.
But then Arnold effed it up a bit with his infidelity news, and now we're hearing the director Justin Lin won't be able to do it due to Fast 6 scheduling conflicts!
The thing is this,

With Fast and Furious being the moneymaking machine that it is, the franchise is coming back for a Part 6! AND, there's already a release date!
Director Justin Lin confirmed that FF6 will be set for a Memorial Day 2013 release. The movie will reunite cast members from the previous five films, including of course, Vin Diesel, who's also producing the film.
With Fast Five making $600 million worldwide, this comes at no surprise to us!
The studio is making sure that the 6th installment will make even MORE money by saying that the next movie will contain the most dangerous adventures yet. Awesome!
Didn't think the stunts could get any more dangerous, but we're still excited to check them out!
