And he has been in a shizload of trouble!
It seems that Arizona shooting suspect Jared Loughner has a record. He was arrested as a juvenile for possession of marijuana and alcohol.
According to police reports, he was also the victim of bullying. He was once attacked with a sharp needle and another time he claims an ex-friend posted a fake profile of him on the internet.
Loughner’s first arrest happened May 23, 2006 after his principal at Mountain View High School contacted police at 9am to inform them the student had been taken to the emergency room apparently under the influence.
He eventually admitted to consuming 350ml of vodka that he had stolen from his father’s liquor cabinet. He claimed to drinking it after becoming “very upset after his dad yelled” at him.
The police noted that Loughner’s eyes were “very red” and that he appeared to have been crying.
A year later, he was arrested alongside his friend, Bryce Tierney. Police pulled them over for a traffic stop and noticed that it smelled like marijuana.
Police discovered a pipe in Loughner's pocket, a marijuana roach in the ashtray, some cigarette papers and another glass smoking pipe.
In 2004, another incident occurred at Mountain View High School where police were called after fellow student, Anthony Kurtz attacked him.
The report said that Loughner was “stuck with a pin – a stolen type needle, in the cafeteria”. After he was realized he was stuck with a needle, he “became pale, got dizzy, could not stand and had to be helped to the nurse’s office by another friend.”
Surprisingly, Loughner’s parents did not want to press charges but did request that their son to undergo a blood test to check for “HIV and other diseases”.
Wow.
