This isn’t the first time an airline has lost a cat. But that excuses no one.
Karen Pascoe, while flying American Airlines out of JFK airport to California, had checked her two cats into cargo kennels. Then one of them, Jack, escaped.
After that, her and her remaining cat, Barry, were put on a later flight. When she tried to contact the airline she could reach no one for 60 hours! We can't even begin to imagine what that must've been like! A pet can be closer than some family members.
So she took to Facebook, creating a page titled: "Jack the Cat is Lost in AA Baggage at JFK.”
She now has over 6,000 fans, who have been flooding the American Airlines Facebook page with angry posts.
Assuming the cat is still somewhere inside the airport, American Airlines has launched a full-scale search to find the him.
Karen, Jack’s owner, has accepted their offer to be flown out to JFK to “assist with the search and see first-hand our efforts to locate Jack,” American Airlines posted on their Facebook page. At least they're willing to help her out now.
Check out what American Airlines then posted on their Facebook page on how they plan to remedy this probem, after the jump…
