The Royal couple has just added a member to their family!

A cutie little cocker spaniel!

Sources within the palace have confirmed that the doggy has been adopted by the couple.

They said the male pup is a "few months old" and is a black cocker spaniel and it came from a litter "with a close family connection."

The Middletons are big fans of cocker spaniels.

Is he from a recent litter from one of their dogs perhaps??

All we know is the so far nameless puppy will be able to keep Kate company while William is deployed to the Falkland Islands for six weeks.

Could the Duke and the Duchess have a new four legged friend?

William and Kate were spotted along the beaches of North Wales with cute little pup. The royal couple were snuggled together as their companion trotted along the damp sand.

Sounds like a romantic 30th b-day gift for Kate!

The couple were spotted playing with pups on New Year's and rumors have hinted William wanted to give Kate a puppy for Christmas.

Looks like Bo Obama has some new competition!

Steven Spielberg recently premiered his movie War Horse in the UK.

In attendance, other than Spielberg himself and an actual horse as we previously mentioned, were the Royals.

Prince William and Kate Middleton walked the red carpet alongside everyone else.

Spielberg even made a short speech before the film's screening about the Royals:

"It's a very prestigious honor because they represent an entirely new era in British royalty that has the entire world excited.

When they came to America, that was one of the most exciting events, I think, that we've enjoyed for some time, so it's such an honor to be here in the UK to be able to meet them and to be able to show them, and all of us, 'War Horse.'"

While the legendary director honored them with a speech, Spielberg's wife helped the Royals during a time of need. She passed Kate a tissue when she was crying during the film.

Spielberg said:

"I saw the Kleenex go across my face, arrive and stop but I didn't want to intrude on her experience watching 'War Horse' so I never glanced over."

Awww, she was crying.

And Spielberg's wife… so polite and proper.

The Spielbergs truly are American Royalty.

Steven Spielberg was strolling down the red carpet for the UK premiere of his film, War Horse.

Alongside him on the red carpet, was a big star of the film, a lovely horse!

He and the horse palled around in front of the cameras for a while, enjoying just hanging out on the carpet.

Even the Royals, Prince William and Kate Middleton were at the premiere.

They were there to see the horse, we assume.

Prince William and Kate Middleton spent New Year's Eve with Kate's family.

The two were hanging out at Kate's parents house before the New Year's Eve party thrown by her sister Pippa.

While there, Kate was spotted running around, playing with the family dogs.

So sweet to see even the Royals have fun running around with their pups just like the rest of us.

The Royal Family has a traditional bird shoot on Boxing Day where they all get together and do, what else, shoot birds.

Whether it was the pleas of animal rights organizations or just The Duchess of Cambridge's own personal feelings about bird murder, Kate Middleton will not be participating in the event.

A source said:

"At the moment Kate is very much the bright new star of the Royal Family and the Palace is keen for her to keep her nose clean.

Activists have begged her not to join the shoot. No-one wants to see her caught up in a scandal so soon."

Seems like she's taking a page out of her late mother-in-law Princess Diana's book of kindness.

Way to be animal friendly, Kate!

Guess Kate isn't the only new blood in the royal family!

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla have adopted a puppy that (Gasp!) DID NOT come from a royal breeder!!

Us Weekly says Camilla adopted the 3-month-old Jack Russell Terrier came from the very fancy sounding shelter: "The Battersea Dogs Home in London."

Queen Elizabeth has been raising and breeding Corgis for the past 50 years. If the monarch felt mad about her daughter-in-law's choice of dog her feeling might have been mollified by new dogs name. Camilla calls the dog Beth.

Sucking up to the queen much Camilla?? LOL!
