New Yorkers are PISSED that all the commercial events at the Lincoln Center, specifically the seemingly endless fashion weeks, are keeping them from playing frisbee and using their dogs to meet good-looking strangers at the Center's Damrosch Park!
In fact, residents and environmental activists are so STARK RAVING MAD that they've filed suit against the city and Lincoln Center for "limiting public access to Damrosch Park" and holding commercial events, including fashion week and the Big Apple Circus, for 10 months out of the year.
The plaintiffs also argue that the $32 million generated by the Lincoln Center from all of the events is NOT going back into the city like it's supposed to, but instead benefiting the Center itself.
In a statement, NYC Park Advocates, a nonprofit watchdog group, said:

That Conan O'Brien's sister is in The Fighter?!
Neither did we, but according to People Magazine, she's quite the "scene-stealer."
Kate B. O'Brien by day is a special-ed teacher in Brookline, Mass., but now, she's one of the shining stars in the hit movie, as we hear she "nailed" the role as one of Mark Wahlberg's characters foul-mouthed sisters.
When asked how she prepared for the role, she explained she was good with the whole "Irish Catholic thing," considering her "big family."
Wow! We can't wait to see this now! Maybe this is a start of a whole new career for her! Exciting!
